The beach on the resort, one of the most expensive on the island. Admission to the beach is, of course, free. The staff is very friendly, does not make any problems with anything (they also feed the fish there regularly, so that they swim in whole schools, something wonderful).
The water is generally clear, but there is some algae. The beach gains a lot in the sun.
Huge land turtles are kept on site (you will be delighted, your kids too). The beach itself is rather narrow
Getting there by bus — linę 61 or 62 (you have to ask the driver to stop because there is no stop there, but they do it very nicely)

A beautiful beach in the south of the island. At high tide the beach is very narrow.
There are a few trees that provide shade and there is also a restaurant right on the beach.
On the day we visited it was not very busy, so the beach crabs around us were very active - and it was a lot of fun to watch them.

Incredible beach, better than any of La Digue for swimming. No entry fee like L'Union Estate, nor crowds of bicyclists reminiscent of Chinese cities in the 90s! VERY friendly Aldabra Tortioses that love to be petted. What's not to like?

This beach is really good for a stopover as you can park you car right next to the beach. The view is really stunning and it is good place to take some pictures. I have seen some people swimming there with high tide. If you are travelling by car lock your car and make sure nothing valuable is visible.

Not a place to swim, the waves wont let you to enjoy the ocean, but the beach is absolutely extraordinary. You can just stay there for hours, relaxing in the unique sound of the waves breaking on the rocks.
Not to mention the view... Stunning colors, breathtaking landscape.
And it is very, very clean.

This is a great picturesque beach for families with young children due to the excellent conditions for swimming. There is a bit of a wave to entertain the young ones and we saw others snorkelling closer to the rocks. We saw sting rays while swimming.
Parking was nearby and the bus appeared to drive past frequently.

This is the perfect beach. Spectacular views especially of the sunset. Snorkeling out to the left is really a treat; turtles, rays, eels, and plenty of colourful fish.
Stick to the middle of the beach for entry to avoid the rocks. The left of the beach is more sheltered to avoid the waves and some swell.
Nice depth for swimming as well.

Seychelles – Paradise of picture post card beaches & Heaven for honeymooners.
All adjectives (such as amazing, awesome, breathtaking, fabulous, fantastic, incredible, impressive, marvelous, magnificent, picturesque, scenic, splendid, stunning, spectacular) will be used by the tourists either for picture post card beaches or for picture post card nature trails.
Seychelles has following main 3 islands:
1. Mahe island (28 x 8 km) has 38 beaches.
Beau Vallon beach in north is the main attraction for tourist.
West coast of Mahe island has more beautiful beaches.
2. Praslin island (12 x 5 km) has 22 beaches.
Anse Lazio in north is the most liked by the tourist.
3. La Digue island (5 x 3 km) has 18 beaches.
The most magnificent island on Seychelles.
Anse Source d’Argent in southwest is the best in Seychelles.
Tip:
a) Plan to visit beaches between 10 am to 2 pm, to get the real feel of eye catching crystal clear turquoise water otherwise it will be normal water without any charm.
b) Picture speaks louder than words, so please do see images on Google or in trip advisor reviews for respective attraction to experience a gratifying feel of beaches & nature trails.
This review is of Anse Takamaka beach in southwest of Mahe island.
I have attached the photos with this review taken from one side of beach to other covering 180 degree, different angles & distances to give reader the best idea or feel of the beach.
How to reach there:
1. Bus (10 minutes from nearest city bus stop & maximum 60 minutes from farthest bus stop)
Catch any bus going to or via Anse Takamaka.
Bus fare is flat SCR 5 from any destination to any destination in Seychelles.
Beach is within 50 meter distance from bus stop.
2. Hired Taxi
Hire a taxi for a full day tour from 9 am to 5 pm.
Normal taxi hire charges are Euro 150. I negotiated at 100 Euro.
No metered taxis, so need to negotiate before hiring taxi for any local trip.
3. Rental Car
Have driving license & fluent in driving then take a car on a rent.
Rent from Euro 45 per day onwards depending on car.
4. Hired Bicycle (Applicable only for La Digue island)
Is the most viable option at a reasonable cost on La Digue island.
SCR 100 to 400 depending on hours.
During my visit in Nov / Dec 2015, there were only 5 cars available on the La Digue island.
I spent SCR 800 for two hours sightseeing trip in the luxurious car.
About Anse Takamaka beach:
Free parking space is available.
Accommodations are also available nearby.
Chez Batista creole restaurant cum hotel is located next to the beach.
It has open shelter to sit, relax & dine with a view of alluring turquoise water.
I had a takeaway food (parcel) for lunch. I got the right place at Anse Takamaka for having lunch.
Few giant tortoises are there in small pen next to open shelter.
Anse Takamaka is a scenic beach with golden white sand, palm trees & takamaka trees.
Those who like walking, this beach provides a seashore of golden white sand.
One can enjoy swimming as the water is shallow & even snorkeling if having own kit.
If you wish to know tourist visa requirements for Seychelles country then read further.

It is always prudent to check with the embassy / immigration of the country you are visiting on the latest visa requirements.
1. Visa on arrival system
2. Passport should be valid on entry & exit date
3. Confirmed hotel reservation.
One has to produce hotel reservation voucher at immigration counter at their request.
In my case, immigration staff called hotel owner to confirm my hotel reservation.
(Hotel owner will issue you the reservation voucher that will have your name, passport number & stay duration in Seychelles. It will also have hotel’s name & address with contact number)
If you are without confirmed hotel reservation, then either you will be deported or will be forced to book & pay hotel near the airport for your entire duration of stay in Seychelles.

5. Sufficient funds to cover your stay in Seychelles.
Debit / Credit cards are accepted in the commercial outlets. ATMs also accepts SBI, BOB debit cards.
Wish you all the best for wondeful journey of picture post card beaches & nature trails.

Beautiful beach but too rough and rocky for swimming (similarly to the beaches nearby where the water was too shallow) so ended up going to Anse Royal

brought here as part of our tour. Beach is quiet and hidden away. Ideal place to relax. Sea was little rough though. Nice little restaurants by the beach that is reasonably cheap.

Hi Katkaa
There are many beautiful beaches than takamaka, the current here is high so sometimes sea weed comes to the shore, you can opt for those beaches where current is low.
