Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was worthwhile for us to go over to Oryukdo Skywalk as it is unique with its glass walkway. Beautiful scenery and below the stairs, there are 'Ajumma' selling shell fish and other sea snails etc. The correct phone number is 6076395. The phone number is important to us as we rely solely on the GPS to get us around to the destination.

Great scenery! Besides the skywalk, you can follow the staircases down the cliff side, or you can also take a short hike/ stairs climb further up the area behind skywalk!
Tip 1: Secure all loose items before you alight from car/ bus! It's extremely windy and your T-money card, hat/ caps and other lighter stuff can be blown away very easily!
Tip 2: Bring along your comb, the strong wind will mess up your hair big time!

This place is so much better than going to the Nurimaru APEC house. It has such a breathtaking view of the Oryukdo Islands as well as the Gwangan Bridge. What I did was to visit the beginning point of the trail whee you will find a tentage with rows of Hanyeo (women divers) selling stuffs such as the sea urchins. You could also take breathtaking pictures of the islands that reminds me a lot of the 12 Apostles in Great Ocean Road. After which I went up to one of the many lookout point which floor was made of glass and jutted out above the waters and cliffs. From here, I drove down to the end point which is nearer to the the Majestic Gwangan bridge. From here, I took the trail. It was interesting especially going across the suspension bridges. I also got to see a Hanyeo in action. Wonderful sight and the 15 teenage students I brought along loved it too!

The map shows what is part of the 4-5 islands, which I guess IS part of Oryukdo, but it's also the land near it, attached to the rest of the island. It's got a great park and mountain which now has a skywalk (glass walkway).

The Oryukdo islands is suppose to have 5 and 6 peaks. However I could not find the right angle to find them. The 2 islands are rugged and rocky and looks great. Its a great place if you like coastal scenery. There is a tourist centre and cafe right there along with toilets.

Take about 20 minutes to go up, see the view and then come back down. Nothing else to see around the neighborhood. Our guide did say that there is a hiking route that take 2 hours to get to a better viewing point. Would not be able to get there other than taking a walk there.

Before you start Igaedae trekking, stop by By at the coffee shop in front of the TI. They serve really nice coffee. Take seats facing the Sky Walk. You will enjoy really nice aroma of your coffee and the view outside.

I often go kayaking around the lighthouse and sometimes on rare occasions I catch the ebb jet for an easy ride but most times it takes dedication and a dash of insanity to set out into the chop but for those that do the rewards last a lifetime.
At Oryukdo I experienced a natural satori while facing death in the eye mere inches away. It was here that I took my first step in living a life in the direction of love, compassion and mindfulness - It was here that I came to terms with what is defined as the self.
You may not have any of these experiences but then again the perception you decide on is all isn't it?
Go to Oryukdo, experience it's simple beauty. Perhaps if you are lost you may ask it the questions for which you seek answers and Oryukdo may answer.
It truly is up to you to decide what to make of your experiences.
Peace

We spent a half day out to Orkyukdo Island, following up with the Igidae coastal walk. The Orkyudo Skywalk part of things is very small, just a small glass ledge over the cliff which is scenic but short. Getting there was easy enough, just on the one bus from the city using Kakao Maps.
Cool view, although morning probably has less glare and makes for a fun experience. There's slipper that you wear on the glass which are adorable. All free and I would highly recommend doing at least some of the coastal walk afterwards.

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's possible to visit the lighthouse on one of the Oryukdo Islets?
