Rather interesting. After a few flights of stairs leading down into the cave, the rest of the way is flat albeit uneven which makes for an interesting walk, i.e. not so monotonous. It's also cool inside the cave so it was a comfortable respite during the summer. It's the same way in and out so when you feel you've had enough, you can just turn around and head back.

Must visit while in Jeju! If you want to reach the cave by public transport either from Jeju or Seigowipo, take bus number 201 and get down at Manjanggul Cave entrance and then change the bus to 711-1 or 711-2 (check time table at the bus stop) and get down at the entrance of the cave. The hotel reception staff will say it is complicated to reach the cave by public transport and yes it is time consuming but can be done especially if u r solo, taking the bus is worth it Although Google says it’s open on all days, they are closed on the first Wednesday of every month, so plan accordingly.

Can absolutely feel the wonder of nature and immerse yourself in it. Well preserved and easy to reach, the cave is a great place to visit! Though only 1km is opened for public, you can find many different forms of igneous rock here and the whole atmosphere is so good here. Apart from the cave, there is an indoor information centre to learn the history of the place. Next to the center is a local restaurant offering fried cheese pork cutlet and udon! Recommend to give it a try also : ) Plenty of parking space is available.
