Negombo is very dirty , expensive city compare to other parts of Sri Lanka . It felt absolutely another country to me .Waste of time and money . Nothing really worth to visit there.

Worth a short visit. Very catholic - Very beautiful - lots of effigies and statues of saints. Large car park. Sadly no literature or visitor information

This is the oldest church in negombo according to my knowledge. Further, this church is adjoined with a School in this area. Good place to visit.

This part of Negombo is known as "little Rome" because of the amount of Christian churches. They share the area with Buddhist temples and Mosques. They seem to be open almost all the time and are very peaceful.

This is a pretty old church with a beautiful interior. Very near to the beach area and very near to Negombo city.

The architectural features of this Christian church was surely fascinating. Witnessing a grand wedding during our visit made it even more mesmerizing. A must see in Negombo City.

They take their religion seriously here. Great old building showing a few signs of its age it must be said. Check out the roof paintings and the main altar.

Any visitor will fall in love with this magnificent majestic architectural Church with it's roof top glass marvel of paintings which is so unbelievable. Many wedding masses are held here as it is a very significant Church situated in the Negombo city.

A very nice church. And like nearly all churches in Sri Lanka, it has its own graveyard. We visited it during the feast of St Mary's ascension. It was beautifully decorated from the outside and inside. However it did not offer any translation.

Old architecture and heritage preserved, quite and serene, old paintings and artifacts intact, only thing I found disturbing was a primary school in it premises.
