The ferry terminal is located near to mrt station, so it is a short walking to take the ferry. The ferry terminal beside is a bridge for good photo taking, the price is only 25 twd per person and even though we are foreigner, my mum and aunty just need to pay 12 twd each for elderly price. The waiting... More

The Cijin Island ferry is the only way to get to Cijin Island without a car. At the time we were traveling, which was late October, there was no wait at all for getting onto the ferry. The ferry ride itself is very scenic, but takes only 10 minutes for the crossing. As such, the crossings are fairly frequent. I... More

if you can't go to Kong Kong this is the miniature version of the famous star ferry trip between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. it's just a 15 minutes trip where you cross the busy harbour but that in itself is interesting enough and gives plenty of opportunities for nice foto shots. it's only 25 NT$ per trip!

Took this ferry to get to Cijin Island. Waited about 20 min. just to get on the ferry, and the ride is only five minutes. Beautiful views in and out of the harbour. They don't cram people on like sardines, lots of room to be able to move around a bit. We just stayed out on deck to take in... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the ferry boat to the small island Cijin. In my opinion, this is a must see! We saw a Presbyterian church built in 19 century. Quite a surprise! Dinner was all fresh catch! Love it!

Sit up top and enjoy the view. Short ride, but great to go to island for sea food & dessert of shaved snow with fruit. Cheap only 25 per direction. Very small island. Rent a electric bike and do a tour also good and cheap if on a budget.

The ferry ride felt like less than 5 minutes. It accommodates walk on and moped traffic (no cars). There is usually about 2 ferries on the same side: one embarking/disembarking while the other is waiting in line to do the same.

Cijin Ferry appeared to be a must-visit spot when traveling in Kaohsiung. We were able to observe and experience the life of "harbor city" during cruising. The scene of modern city architectures blend with the harbor constructs are magnificent. In my opinion, this is the signature scene of Kaohsiung. The street and light house at Cijin are great places to... More
