I often enjoy visiting train station in cities I visit. It is usually a place of busyness and ordonnance which I am interested in. Yet the Taichung Station wasn’t one of this station which I recommend unless you must take a train. I didn’t dislike it but the current vast renovation happening in February 2017 aren’t conveying a sense of... More

It is just a short distance from the old station to the new station. If you don't know the way, just follow the crowd. Or ask the staff at the visitor centre, they are friendly in guiding you. The new station has a nice and clean environment~ If you are travelling in peak period, suggest you online book the ticket... More

This rail station is the main station for Taichung. The old station has been preserved and still functions as a place for vendors - mostly food oriented. The train tracks are no longer used, instead you need to follow the well-signed path to the new railway station that is right next door and elevated above the old tracks. There is... More

New station, spacious and clean. Reception staff is patient and helpful. There are many eateries and a shopping mall around the train station.

Very nice train station, very new, you just have to walk through the old one, go left and follow the people to a new station with nice toilets, hot/cold water dispenser, self serve and regular ticket counter. Also, outside and on one end of the old station is a very helpful tourist info with a great city map, questions, just... More

To take a fast comfortable train, to International airport, is the best you can do. Less tan 40 minutes, instead of 90 minutes by road, if you are lucky with tragic. They have several places for a meal, with good quality. They have a guest relations and they speak good English. Allé station including platforms, are extremely clean.

I booked the "Tze-Chiang" train from Chiayi to Taichung before I left for my holiday. Collected my tickets at Chiayi but missed the train as I misjudged the time. Thankfully they helped me to change my tickets to the next trip which is an hour later. Taichung train station is big and has two main exits. One leads to a... More

Big station and some convenience shops. Remember to buy and eat the bentos - a must try for first timers. :)
