Not that bad. You should have about 3-6 hours to check all exhibits. Part with human doesn't important, nothing new. Plenty of information about China and dinosaurs.

I hope I can show this museum to my grandkids some day. The newer exhibits have signs and explanations in English. There is plenty of multimedia including videos (but not the Space Theater) with English subtitles. To completely explore it would take an entire day, but it is, in my opinion, the top sight in Taichung. Anyone over 65 years... More

We decided to visit this museum before our sun moon lake trip because of the excellent review by others. After viewing level 1, we gave up as the display were too kiddish. We didn't hv high hopes for the rest of the levels so we went to the botanic garden (a greenhouse) opposite the museum. That is a small greenhouse... More

Mediocle. A major update is needed. I'd recommend the museum of science in Taichung, which is more comprehensive.

I lived by this museum when I was based in Taiwan with my family, good for a day out with the family but can become busy on the holidays.

Our family have visited more than 10 science museums all over the world. This one in Taichung is definitely attractive. A major portion of it focuses on the development of the earth and living things over the past millions and billions of year. Very interactive and informative. You can also watch 3D movies in the museum. Definitely enjoyable for a... More

We went here on a Saturday and it was not overrun by visitors. It has different exhibitions over three floors and is very cheap for what they offer! A certain area near the entrance is dedicated to kids. The main exhibition about the evolution of life is very busy. However you should take the time to also visit the other... More

We arrived an hour before closing so we only had a chance to visit the main exhibition and not the special one. Fortunately their ticket prices are different and the main exhibits were on the cheaper end. The space is small - expect to spend less than an hour - but they have three floors of exhibits covering astronomy, superconductors,... More
