Really beautiful old street with a very beautiful temple. however due to the weather conditions this day, many stores and restaurants were closed so I'd recommend you to go when it isn't raining and really windy. If you're there make sure to check out the beautiful bridge located near by!

We ate at the famous bean curd shop. It was a weekday so it was not crowded. We bought some preserved fruits.

Plan you day trip to Daxi Taoyuan to see the traditional style architectures, don't forget to try the dried tofu and sweet tofu pudding before you leave.

I've been here quite a few times. But I liked the night view more. The old street has a lot of street food, but not much exciting restaurants to eat at.

There was nothing there in the winter time. You won't get any transportation to get out of the area.

It's about a walk down a street of yesteryear. stroll down the river and soaking in the experience of crossing an old bridge. The shops are not unlike what you will find elsewhere but the walk is framed in a old street with charming buildings. For drivers, limited parking is available on Puji Road.

I very much enjoyed my visit to this old town. After my recent trips to touristy places like Jiufen, Keelung and Tamshui, my expectations were quite low. But Daxi was a nice surprise. Don't get me wrong, there were definitely lots of crowds especially being a weekend but I felt Daxi offered a flavour of old Taiwan which were enjoyed... More

It's a lot of fun at night when the night market vendors are out and you can buy lots of local souveniers and Taiwanese street food. Highly recommend it for a quick evening if you are in the area.

I was born in Taoyuan Daxi. Therefore, I always go to this street for eating or walking. It has many mouth-watering food such as dried tofu, rice dumpling and so on,and also there are many historic architecuter.I suggest that everyone has to bring your camera or celphone to take pictures in there. If you don't go this street, you have to go once.
