Kileo Tours booked us with an excellent and very experienced guide. Livingstone Makundi has a great team of porters and cook staff who watched out for our safety, provided copious amounts of delicious food, were friendly, and a whole lot of fun. I cannot speak more highly of my experience and this company. I now have new lifetime friends in Tanzania. Everything was well communicated and all people were very reliable. Do not hesitate to book with this company!

I had the pleasure of hiking Kilimanjaro with Jerome and his company in Oct of 2019. We did the Machame route and it was an ideal amount of time on the mountain. Jerome and his crew provided me with amazing fresh meals that I often looked forward to after a long day of hiking. The guys were all very supportive and helpful in getting me to the summit. It takes a team effort to put this all together and I was a travelling and hiking by myself and these guys soon became my friends. Jerome provides great conversation on all things Kilimanjaro and Tanzanian people and their culture. I always felt safe and well fed and really enjoyed my time with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a guide and trekking company to summit Kilimanjaro.

Jerome and his team are awesome. He and Osbert accompanied us throughout out travels in Tanzania—picking us up from the airport, driving us wherever we needed, and securing our overnight stays in various parks across the country. They work great together—have keen eyes that can find literally anything out in the bush. We saw too many lions, giraffes, elephants, zebra, wildebeest, warthogs, buffalo, and everything in between to count. It was truly the adventure of a lifetime and Jerome and Osbert made it all happen. Jerome and Osbert are friendly and kind, and have a great network within the guide-community, so we were always kept in on the loop of where wildlife was and where to go to find it.
They each speak several languages so that they can serve their cliental better as well as navigate through the various parts of the country with ease. Great drivers, safe drivers, and great people. I really enjoyed getting to know them throughout the trip—learning about their backgrounds and goals and families. These two great guys never made myself or any of the other young females on our trip feel uncomfortable—we always felt protected and looked out for. They made the trip happen, and I would recommend Kileo Tours to everyone considering a safari in Tanzania.
I wore layers and long sleeves the whole time (we went in early June). The long sleeves and pants were great for insect protection, and there is enough shade and airflow in the safari van to keep cool. Definitely bring your binoculars! They came in handy everyday of the trip.

I recently did a 7 day Kilimanjaro climb and a 4 day safari tour with Jerome and his team and I can confidently say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. I have been researching on who to climb Kilimanjaro with for years and I am very happy with the choice we made in the end. Jerome and his team were always extremely fun, professional, and timely with everything they did. They ensured that we were taken well care of every minute of the day and played a huge role in keeping spirits high went it came to making the summit. I would recommend Kileo Tours to anyone who wants to have a care-free and successful experience travelling Africa!

My daughter and I just came back from Africa. We had a 7 day trek to the roof of Africa and a 4 day safari with Jerome and his Kileo Tours group. Jerome is an excellent guide and both he and the members of his team were always professional, kind,respectful and always ready with good advice and a kind word and a smile when things were getting tough. I highly recommend Jerome for your African adventures. Thank you Jerome, Fadhili, Michael, Ziggy, Kennedy and the rest of the crew for the unforgettable experience. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but so rewarding and satisfying and you made it fun as well.

A FANTASTIC experience provided by the Kileo tours company. I would highly recommend using this company due to their attention to detail and no problem being too big. The trip started with a problem whereby my bag did not arrive at the airport, this meant that the trip had to start a day late. This was not a problem for Jerome and his team and they made great effort in making me feel comfortable in my surroundings. They are clearly experienced in what they do and this helped make it an unforgettable experience. However, the biggest compliment I can pay is how Jerome goes out of his way to ensure that you are enjoying yourself. I enjoyed it so much that I am now looking at safari opportunities with the same company.

Had a blast with Jerome and his team. Amazing food, service, singing and he even helped me drag an inflatable whale to the top of the mountain! Have recommended to several of my friends since and would genuinely do it again myself.

3-person group summited Kilimanjaro on a 6 day trek together with Jerome and Kileo Tours. An unforgettable trip, with stunning nature, challenging hikes and a great guide and crew. Jerome is very experienced and will bring a great crew to the trip, including a chef that can cater to allergies. Jerome also knew exactly what to do when one in our group got altitude sickness, but still managed to get her to the top.
Highly recommended to use Kileo Tours if you are going to climb Kilimanjaro!

I had the opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro with Jerome Kileo and his team. This was an excellent experience for me and my girlfriend.
I have experienced Jerome as a pleasant guide who is very sensitive. He has a good eye for detail and safety. During the entire trip he was keen to point out wildlife and explain things, was more aware of our own fitness than we were, and equipped with all safety equipment. So was his team, a team he personally selected.
During the climb we climb at our own pace which some times meant we could take som shortcuts to overtake slower groups and some times in short breaks for us to enjoy the views. Moreover Jerome is pleasant company during the meals or conversations during the hike up.
I would strongly recommend climbing up Kili with Kileo Tours

I went to Arusha, Tanzania with a program called Moondance Adventures two summers ago and met Jerome Kileo, one of our guides on Mount Kilimanjaro as well as our safari guide. I will never forget the amazing adventures we had because of his unbelievable skills and outgoing personality, along with the other guides on our trip. Jerome and his team were so hospitable and outstanding. We keep in touch to this day and I would return to Tanzania in a heartbeat to go on more adventures with him!
