We have just completed our 10 days safari with King of Tanzania Ltd through Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Natron, with a final taste of Kilimanjaro (one day walking from Marangu to Mandara Hut and back). This was our third trip in Tanzania: the first took place in 1989 and the second in 2006. In the second trip, Wellking (“King”) was our driver and guide through Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Selous, Uzundwa and Ruaha. Returning for the third time, we went directly to King and his own company “King of Tanzania Safaris Ltd”. The trip has been planned as a “budget safari”: sleeping in tent for 7 nights and having meals prepared on site by the bush cook Ali. In our opinion, traveling in such way is still the most exciting and sustainable way to visit natural parks of Africa. No frills, no luxury, no technologies. Only the sounds of nature and the experience of the guide. Our interest is in local fauna (even the “small hundreds” compared with the “big five”) and in endemic flora. King has been confirmed as a fantastic guide and driver, very smart in finding any kind of animal and well prepared on the knowledge of the field and of his country. We had the opportunity to see the unmissable parts of Serengeti and Ngorongoro, as well as the less frequented areas of Empakaai Crater, northern Serengeti and Lake Natron. Wellking manages the safari with flexiblity, tailoring the itinerary on your personal requirements, and manages his business with transparency and integrity. For the above reasons, we strongly recommend King of Tanzania Safari Ltd. We hope to go back to Tanzania for the fourth time and to find again King and his team. Gaetano and Daniela from Verona, Italy

We contacted King of Tanzania Safari because of the good reviews we saw on this website and we were not disappointed. Oscar was very efficient in answering all our questions and presented us with a wonderful detailed plan for our trip. We had a private safari which was organised very well and we got to see great wildlife and at the end of each day we stayed in great lodges and camps selected by the company. The manger of the company Mr. Wellking met us the day we arrived in Arusha and he went through our travel plans in detail to ensure we had a full understanding of our wonderful Tanzanian adventure. The price we paid was well worth it, good value for money with a great customer service. Mr Wellking kept in contact with us throughout the trip to ensure we were happy with all aspects of our trip. Everything as promised was done, with a great customer service. I have would gladly recommend this tour company to anyone interested in wildlife or wanting an amazing Tanzanian experience.

King took us around the Kilimanjaro National Park area, the Ndoro waterfall, a traditional Chagga hut and tunnels, and a blacksmith. This was a tailored one-day tour and it was so much more than we asked for. This tour offered a cultural perspective on the lives on the Chagga people in Tanzania and the wonderful nature of the Kilimanjaro National Park area.

We (a group of 3 females) went on a personalized 9 day safari with King Safaris and had such a good time! The team took into consideration our interests and adapted the program to a very nice fit. We visited Tarangire, Lake Natron, Manyara (day & night), Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Empakai Crater and were as amazed by the driving skills of our friendly driver Frank as by his knowledge about species and all our surroundings! We found all the big 5 and so much more- thanks to the whole team and especially our driver for the unforgettable trip! Greetings from Germany to Frank, Oscar and Welking - and beautiful Tanzania!

I was lucky enough to have had King and his team recommended to me by colleagues working in Dar es Salaam. King arranged the perfect trip for 13 of us travelling in July. We saw all of the big 5 in Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorogoro Crater. It was simply the most perfect trip and I hope one day to be able to do another one with King and his team.
