We travelled for 8 days with InStyle Safaris, touring Ngorongoro Crater, Central & Northern Serengeti, and stayed our final nights at a Maasai lodge near Arusha.
Salma (owner) was recommended to us by our tour operator in Uganda, Laba Africa, and it was on that basis we went ahead with choosing Salma to plan part the Safari part of our honeymoon trip. As travellers know, it takes a lot of trust when booking a holiday with someone you don't know & have never met!
Salma worked hard to produce an itinerary (several!) for the experiences we were hoping to capture during our trip - to see the Great Migration & Mara river crossing, among others. She produced quotes which were very cost competitive & she had intimate knowledge of the Safari circuit around the Serengeti. Being an Arusha local & having worked in the tourism industry for over a decade, she was professional & organised, and most importantly, knew the ins-and-outs of the where/what/how of getting around the Safari sights.
Our guide Gabby, who stayed with us throughout the tour was friendly & fun, and he worked very very hard to make sure we were able to view the animals we wanted to see (leopards, male lions etc etc). He had a degree in tourism & had very good knowledge for information about the animals we were seeing. The added benefit was Gabby was well known & liked, having been a guide for a long time, and he had a strong network of other guides to share & gain knowledge with. If you're hoping to see rare animals, or the right crossing at the right time, this is essential, as it allows multiple cars to cover the crossing locations & also share sightings of rare animals.
We found the final quite was very cost competitive, to the point where we couldn't beat the quote ourselves, as Salma had access to various discounts etc as a regular operator.
InStyle have a number of safari cars to run multiple (private) tours at the same time & work with Serengeti balloon. This is very handy for when you have 2 or 3 flat tyres & need extra wheels, as there is someone close who can give you a spare. The Serengeti is a remote place, so it's reassuring to have that level of support nearby if you breakdown... these cars get run hard & do some serious 4x4 driving.
If you're looking for someone to plan a seamless, incredible experience in Tanzania, I highly recommend Salma & the Instyle team.

Me and some friends went to have a trip at Selous National Park with Instyle Safari. It has been an experience that I wouldn’t want to miss for anything. We all felt very safe and comfortable with our guide, we had quite good laughs during the trip and also in the planning process they have all been very helpful. In the end I can say the whole experience was just amazing. This company is definitely going to stay my number one choice for any further trips and I am already excited to reach other places with them!
