    Safari excellence!
On behalf of our group of six, we want to thank you and your Team at Sky Safari and Elewana for a fabulous adventure. From beginning to end, everything went smoothly, and we were treated with superb attention and service each day. The Arusha Coffee Plantation was wonderful; our rooms were beautiful, our butler was excellent, the food was delicious, and all the staff were well trained. They even gave us day rooms and lunch on our last day, which was very special. The Elewana Tree House was amazing – so unique, and our rooms were large and beautiful, with excellent views. The service, food, and entertainment were all excellent, and our safaris were spectacular! Ellie was our guide, and he was a total pro. The Manor was off-the-charts elegant and beautiful. Again, our rooms were amazing, and we were treated to two amazing dinners to celebrate Valentine’s day. We loved the horseback riding, spa services and the Coffee Tour. The GM took a great deal of personal interest in our satisfaction, and provided personal recommendations to us for a variety of activities around the world. Our butler did a phenomenal job of arranging and decorating our tables. And of course the safari in the Ngorongoro Caldera was fantastic. And Pioneer Camp was also amazing. Beautiful tents, excellent service and food! We had wonderful safari experiences and saw every animal, bird, reptile and butterfly that we hoped for, except the elusive Cheetah. All our flights with Sky Safari were on time and excellent. We will be recommending you and your services whenever we have the opportunity.

Exceptional Safari!! Trip of a Lifetime....
Our group of 7 just returned from an over the top safari run by Sky Safari. We opted for the 7 day Tanzania option. We were expecting all accommodations to be beautiful, and we were not disappointed. All Elewanda facilities totally exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the guides were extraordinary. Special shout out to Stan at Tree Tops, Peter D. @ The Manor and Alex at the Pioneer Camp. Our safari experience was flawless and totally incredible. We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable team. This safari was truly the adventure of a lifetime.

Hard to Believe it Was Real
Best trip of my life, hands down. The accommodations are truly awe-inspiring, the food is out of this world, and the travel logistics and organization were impeccable, and yet none of those things were, in my opinion, the "best part." Credit to the SkySafari team for hiring some of the most thoughtful, caring, professional people I've ever encountered on a vacation. Our butlers, Nicky, Sharif, and Juma were like mind readers knowing what I wanted before I knew it. Better still, our guides, Stan, Peter D, and Alex were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. Sharif and Peter D in particular felt like lifelong friends after just two days together. Our initial host, Clever, was so organized and prepared that he made the entire trip seamless. All of the above and I didn't even mention the wildlife. Which exceeded my wildest dreams of what I would see on a safari.

    The most incredible trip EVER!
This was the most amazing trip we’ve ever taken! The accommodations were incredibly well appointed and vastly different! The staff was warm, friendly and inviting. The guides on safari were extremely knowledgeable and had great “bush” eyes! We saw The Big Five plus dozens of other animals unique to Africa in abundance. The food was great and there was never any duplicates. Imagine have cloth tablecloths, silverware and china while dining out in the bush! There aren’t enough words to describe what a lifetime experience this was. Every day was a different amazing adventure! You will not be disappointed!

    Tanzania Sky Safari is amazing
Just returned from a trip of our lifetime. 8 day safari was busy busy but such a spectacular experience. Everyone at all stops were amazing and kind. We saw the Big 5. The elusive cheetah did not show itself. In Serengeti we witnessed the annual migration of Zebra and Wildebeests to Kenya. I can’t say enough about this trip. The long flights from Texas were the only downside.

    Phenomenal!
We chose the Tanzania Sky Safari 8 day safari and it did not disappoint. The service from beginning to end was incredible. It was all well organized and we were well taken care of the whole time. Our guides were Roman, Emanuel and Moses and they could not have been more knowledgeable. They are part botanist, ecologist, animal scientist, tribal specialist and advocate. They are patient and work extremely hard to ensure you see everything you want to see and then some. We felt totally safe the entire time and got closer than we ever imagined to the animals. The all-inclusive arrangement was beyond what we expected. Do be prepared to tip a lot (it is well deserved) and take a lot of small bills. Also, only newer US 100 dollar bills with watermarks are accepted. Not older bills. We didn't know this and had bills we couldn't use. Also the airport in Kilimanjaro only accepts cash for the visas and we didn't know that either. It all worked out for us, but would have been helpful info to have ahead of time. We have no complaints about this trip. Sky Safari was everything they promised to be and I don't think we could do a safari any other way now. There were no surprise costs, everything was as it was said to be and we are so grateful to have chosen this company and trip.

    Exceptional service
This was truly a once in a lifetime experience and SkySafari exceeded our expectations at every turn. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, we never lifted a finger, and every detail and excursion was managed seamlessly. Our safari guides - Paskal, Emanuel, and Alex - were incredibly knowledgeable about plants, animals, and the geography. We learned so much from them, and so enjoyed their company. I can’t imagine a better, Safari experience! Asante sana!

    Exceeded Expectations
From pre-planning to our final airport drop off, SkySafari exceeded our expectations…and our expectations were high. Every detail is taken care of by the team. Thanks to Frank for all that. Flying between the parks not only saved time but the flights were some of the best parts of the adventure. We were impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of our guides Elly and Mosses. The attention to detail by our assigned butlers at the lodges blew us away- John at Manor, Titus at Pioneer lodge and Benjamin at Treetops. And the food. How do they produce such amazing meals in such out the way locations?!? Book with them and you won’t be sorry.

Hellen at thr office who helped coordinate my trip prior to arrival and helped with some changes in my departure was fantastic and quick to respond to my many questions. Anwary picked us up from the airport and was wonderful! as our first point of contact he made us feel comfortable from the start! he helped coordinate my departure as well which was so smooth despite I making some changes. would highly recommend. the planes that took us to the different parks was fun and added that extra hint of luxury!

From the moment we arrived in Nairobi, to the moment we flew home to London, SkySafari looked after us brilliantly - shoutout to Emily. All connections were seamless and every Elewana Lodge that we stayed at was excellent. Additionally, all our guides were exceptional. So good, we are planning a return future trip.

Cannot imagine doing an African safari any other way.
I was leaning Micato, which was highly recommended by many friends, when I stumbled on SkySafari. I was very intrigued by the private plane situation, but when I discovered that we could arrange for exclusive use of vehicles/guides, I was sold. No one we knew had ever heard of SkySafari, but we followed our instinct, and took a leap of faith that this is what we were looking for. Fron the moment we arrived in Nairobi all our expectations wildly exceeded. I sincerely cannot imagine doing East Africa any other way.

First the camps. They are spectacular, and each very unique. The food is outstanding, and the people are wonderful. Having worked in the hospitality industry, I am wildly impressed by the consistently warm and delightful culture that is infused in every camp. We were on the East Africa itinerary and we stayed at the following camps:

Tortillis: this camp felt the most like girl scout camp on steroids, all grown and glammed up. I loved the simple tents, with the really terrific bathrooms. The lobby/bar/dining room is so beautiful and inviting and comfy. Being greeted by Graeme and Candy felt like being welcomed into a dear friend's (lavish and exotic) vacation home. Like all the camps, as we would learn, the camp is perched near a watering hole, and it is so much fun to watch the animals come and go throughout the day.

Loisaba: The newest camp on our itinerary, it is a more modern take on African safari tents. The accommodations are exceptionally designed, the shower is crazy great, and as you are perched on the top of a mesa, the sunrise view from your bed is incomparable. It was here that the brilliance of the itinerary was revealed when our (most fabulous) guide explained that we would be seeing animals that are unique to the Northern Hemisphere. Well wow, that's news, until that moment we didn't even know we were in the Northern Hemisphere. Two of the animals are on the endangered list, the Grevy's Zebra and the Reticulated Giraffe, both hunted to near extinction for their beautiful coats, and still prized by poachers. Here we had the opportunity to visit with the anti-poaching team, and more than any other place the strong presence of park rangers with large guns brought home the seriousness of the war against poaching. Black Rhinos have now been introduced to the conservancy, making this a particularly great game viewing stop.

Sand River Camp: We really shouldn't have a favorite, we loved them all, but Sand River is our favorite. Nestled in a grove of trees along the Sand River. This camp invokes a by gone era. It is the only property that was all tents, the lodging, the bar, the dining, the lobby, are all tents. It was so peaceful and so beautiful; we could have stayed forever. The lodging tents are so spacious, and comfortable, loved the deep soaking tub and the wonderful outdoor shower. Our butler here was Dismus, newer to the Elewana family, a bit shy, but so eager to delight and exceed our every expectation. We absolutely loved our last breakfast which he arranged on the river bank. As with the other camps, all the folks here were fabulous; bartenders, housekeepers, everyone was delightful. We were a bit heartbroken when we had to leave.

Serengeti Migration Camp: built into a rocky hillside, you don't even see the camp until you cross a small gorge and walk down some stairs. On the riverbanks of the gorgeous Grumeti River, it almost feels like a movie set, and it's amazing to have the animals strolling through camp. Once again, we were greeted with that infectious Elewana warmth. Our butler here, was the very delightful Hemedi. He made sure we had all the ice we needed. and always had a fresh cocktail on the table before we noticed we needed one. The Sundowner deck here is not to be missed; spectacular view, yummy snacks and of course great cocktails. On our last night, Hemedi arranged a goodbye Swahili feast, and a fabulously presented desert. Memories that will be revisited for a very long time.

The Manor: Leaving Migration Camp means leaving the bush behind. But a stop at The Manor is a gracious re-entry to a busier world. It is charming and beautiful and luxurious. The food is delicious, and they have an extensive wine selection. We were very curious about the Ngorongoro Crater and very much appreciated the short history lesson of the area that our guide, Peter D. gave us using the exhibits in the reception area at the entrance to the park.

Arusha Coffee Lodge: Sadly, our great adventure came to an end. We thoroughly enjoyed our last hours in Africa at the Coffee Lodge. Really interesting to see the handicrafts and glassblowing and have an opportunity to do a little shopping before the long haul home. Praygod, made sure we were well taken care of and I had one of the best margaritas of my life, which is saying a lot from a lifelong southern California girl.

About our guides. There are not enough superlatives to describe our time spent with these men. All of them are passionate, well educated, ambitious, gracious, funny and so much fun. We laughed all day long. And learned so much about the land, animals, their respective countries and cultures. They are all expert drivers and animal trackers. I started to list all of truly outstanding animal sightings, but decided it was nearly impossible to do so; we truly felt like we were living in a NatGeo special every day. We learned that Elewana has a rigorous selection and training process for their guides, as well as ongoing training every year. All Elewana employees were very proud to be part of the Elewana family, and their guides are their greatest ambassadors. Our first was Solomon at Tortillis and he set a high bar for all the rest. Always with a ready smile, and dedicated to delivering exceptional game viewing. We loved every minute with him. Kasoo at Loisaba. We had some really interesting conversations with him about his country and culture and ours. He is a very intuitive guide. His passion for the conservancy comes through everything he showed us and taught us, and he has THE BEST LAUGH! Antony at Sand River. Apparently, we arrived when the rains arrived which made for some really fun trucking, and NOT getting stuck in the mud. He too was so knowledgeable about the area and the animals. He got us all around the park, but we most liked being in the quiet area around the camp. We had the best ever picnic breakfast. and more fun than we could have ever imagined. Sirilli at Migration Camp, I think he said wow almost as much as we did. We really enjoyed his gentle nature and his vast knowledge of animal behavior. Our game viewing here was really unbelievable, starting with 5 river crossings in the first hour of leaving the camp. Every one of our game drives we saw so many animals, birds, flowers, trees, lizards, animal tracks. Our heads are still swirling with everything we saw. We so much enjoyed our time with each of these men, and felt so sad saying goodbye to them. We are thankful to be connected to them on social media.

Absolutely the best decision we could have made was to have a private car and guide. I am quite confident that we would have had an exceptional safari no matter what, but having the private car and guide turned this grand safari into an absolutely epic adventure.

We went into this adventure having no idea what to expect, and any expectation we could have dreamed up was wildly exceeded. The camps, the food, the locations, the trucks, and most of all the people. We are so glad we took that leap of faith. It was just wow, every day, in every way.

Fantastic vacation experience. Eve and our drivers did a great job of orienting us at the beginning of the trip and were informative of life in Arusha. The entire trip was well organized and packed a lot of experiences into a short amount of time. The many game drives were not repetitive because of the different landscapes and the night drive was particularly unique. Other activities like horse riding (no experience required), incredible massages, and coffee tours, kept the trip well balanced and paced.

All the properties were all fantastic but offered a different amenities. All the staff we encountered were incredibly attentive and kind. All our meals were delicious, had great variety, and flexible to accommodate different tastes and intolerances.
I was afraid 8 days would be a long safari vacation, but I wish I had taken advantage of trip extensions and stayed longer. I look forward to more trips with sky safari.

Growing up, I dreamed of going on safari but like most people, felt the trip was too far out of reach to consider. When Travelzoo offered an all-inclusive safari experience through SkySafari during the shutdown, I did some research and decided this one was an opportunity I couldn't afford to pass up.

I did a ton of research before we left, must have watched every video on SkySafari ever produced, and thought I knew exactly what we were getting into the day Emily Ndolo came to pick us up from our hotel to begin an adventure that could best be described as spectacular. We spent the first night at Hemingways, where our private butler showed us around a lavish ground floor room overlooking the garden.

The next morning, Emily and Moses collected us (along with another couple) and put us on a private plane to the Meri National Park. Although we weren't traveling with Susan and Andy, we were a perfect fit for one another. They were the same ages we were and were on their first safari as well. We were met at the Meri airstrip by Joe, our safari guide, and launched headlong into the most remarkable adventure I have had or will likely ever have again. Within minutes we spied a banbbon family making its way across the road, then out of nowhere, a herd of elephants.

By the end of the first day we were there, we saw all five big game animaks, including a leopard who jumped out into the road as we were heading back to Elsa's Kopje. Elsa's is managed by one of THE most remarklbe women I have ever met. Grace Leonard recently won the top honor in the Kenya travel industry and her commitment to both her staff and her guests is awe-inspiring.

We were shown to our room, built into the side of a rock mountain, with views of the Meru spread out before us. No detail was overlooked iat Elsa's, from the bush breakfast we had on our second morning to dinner under the stars, from Joe's clear passion for the wildlife he is priveleged to spend his time among, to Ephantus. who runs the kitchen. This was a five star experience and even though we traveld a few months ago, I think about Elsa's Kopje and the staff every day. I am proud to say I am now friends with several of the people we met at the lodge.

The Loisaba Conservancy was as different from Elsa's Kopje as day is from night. A private resort perched on a plateau overlooking the conservancy, Loisaba is a but more "modern" in that its a newere property with a more contemporary feel. There are two pools at Loisabam and the food and waitstaff were both excellent. I loved Beatrice, who took care of us wheil we were there, brining us coffee in the morning, serving us lunch and dinner and who was always funny and welcoming.

The best part of the Loisaba experience though was in meeting our guide, Dalmaz, a young Maasai who clearly loves his job and who was dedicated to ensuring we were able to get close to the wildlife we came to see. We found a female leopard, a cheetah and her cubs, a lionness raising her cubs and her sister's cubs after her sister was killed and experienced a sundonwer overlooking the park at dusk that was extraordinary. Dalmas is passionate about wildlife conservation and it shows in the joy HE takes in finding and in seeing animals. Tabitha gave my husband and I the BEST massage either one of us has ever had and my husband is not someone who normally gets a msaage because they are never quite to his liking

The last and final stop on our eight day seven night journey was the Sand River Lodge, which was probably the closest to what I had always envisioned a safari "back in the day" to be. Massive private tens are set up along the Sand River overlooking Tanzania and the Serenghetti. Shaban, the chef, was incredible, while our safari guide, Enock, Dennis (who works in the kitchen) and Amos, now training to become a safari guide took such good care of us that my husband and I wondered what we were going to do when we got home and had to cook our own meals and do our own laundry!

The Sand River is in the Maasai Mara National Park and is remote enough that we were rarely in competition with other safari companies for wildlife. In fact the only gridliock we'd encountered along the way was when word got around to the guides that a female leopard was spooted in the park.

One morning when we were out, we saw a small herd of elephants just as the rain stopped and a rainbow broke through. Enock got a call from another SkySafari guied that a male black rhino had been spotted about two miles away. We raced for the spot and found the rhino ambling his way past us, up the hill, to find shelter fro the night. I absolutely hated leaving the Sand River. It was beautiful in a way words escape me.

What I can say is that, with all the safari companies out there to chose from, SkySafari is one of the few companies that gives you more time on safari because, in fyling you to each location, you save about 21 hours of standard travel time.

I also know I cannot wait to go back to this glorious place again, to see people who are now friends, and to experience the luxury and beauty of the SkySafari experience.

My mom and I traveled to Tanzania in June of 2023. Our experience with Skysafari for our safari was more than we could have dreamed. It was truly a magical experience. The staff and guides were exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and attentive during our stay. Eve, John, Peter, and Ellie went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing short of spectacular. The hotels and lodging were phenomenal. We loved our stay at The Manor and appreciated the manager’s attention to detail and the immaculate grounds. We were blown away by the Tarangire Treetops and Serengeti Migration Camp. The safari guides were incredibly knowledgeable regarding animal behavior. The food during our stay was outstanding. I highly recommend skysafari to anyone looking for a true 5 star unique safari experience!

Our Sky Safari trip was perfection. Emily Ndolo organized the trip for us and managed to round us up and deliver us to our flights. We felt very looked after and that we didn’t have to worry about the details. Emily had everything under control. We also appreciated her calm demeanor and how the staff at the hotel and airport seems to also be very trusting of her ability. Emily was even perfect when I cried because I was so touched by our experience in Kenya. Sky Safari, and Emily, are truly wonderful and I highly recommend them for a trip to East Africa.

I just had to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible support we received in planning our trip. Our experience overall was nothing short of magical and exceeded all our expectations. It was a joy to share the beauty of Africa with my wife and children, especially since I grew up there myself.

To start with, the Sky Safari service provided unparalleled convenience, allowing us to seamlessly move from one camp to another. The distinctiveness of each camp and park we visited was astonishing. We were constantly amazed by the remarkable differences between them, making every stop a unique and awe-inspiring adventure.

The quality of food at each camp was truly exceptional, deserving of recognition on a global scale. We greatly appreciated the availability of kid-friendly and healthy meal options. The chefs' ability to create such delectable dishes in such remote locations left us in awe. Even when we enjoyed packed lunches in the bush, the food remained incredibly flavorful.

We were particularly grateful for the access to filtered water throughout our journey. It was reassuring to know that we could trust the water provided and that all the food we consumed had been prepared with utmost care and safety.

The staff members at each camp were simply amazing, going above and beyond to anticipate our needs and ensure everything was perfectly prepared. I want to emphasize how open and honest the guides and camp managers were in answering all our questions, even the challenging ones that didn't have straightforward answers. Their dedication to providing us with a meaningful and informative experience was commendable.

A special mention goes to the staff at Tortilis for arranging a visit to a local school. The interaction between our children and the students and teachers was truly heartwarming. Additionally, learning about the Land and Life Foundation was inspiring, and we plan to make donations to support their important work.

Our trip was an extraordinary adventure that will remain etched in our memories forever. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a truly immersive and remarkable African journey. Thank you once again for creating such a cherished experience for our family.

We bought our SkySafari trip through a promotional offer in 2022. It was so worth the money! The people were helpful, welcoming, and kind. Frank, in the SkySafari office, took care of the pre-trip arrangements and answered a myriad of questions over the course of several months. Mainly "Can I change my date"? We were lucky his answer was no! May is the perfect time to go. The rains had ended, the temperature was moderate, everything was green, and there were baby animals galore.

We spent extra to fly business class from Chicago to Arusha. While it was an expensive ticket, we figured the trip of a lifetime warranted 20 hours of comfort while flying. KLM has daily service from Amsterdam to Arusha so you will spend some time in the Schipol Airport. Business class gets you into the lounge area where you can have something to eat and recharge for the final leg to Arusha.

Clever from SkySafari, met us at the airport and escorted us to Arusha Coffee Lodge where we spent an extra night to offset the travel fatigue. Clever reviewed our trip details with us so we'd know what to expect for the next week and arranged for a meal for us. Our butler, Dennis (Babu), was a delight. He knew what we needed before we did. He is the most cheerful person I've ever seen. The staff at all the hotels were impeccable.

The SkySafari group size (8) is perfect. Just the right size to move quickly in and out of airports, parks, and hotels. **Tip** If there is one, be sure to grab a seat in the Range Rover when heading into the bush. It’s most comfortable on bumpy roads. If it’s not available, jump in the LandCruiser with the window that opens completely for the best viewing and photos. The guides, Emmanuel, Pascal, Angela, and Moses were excellent. They are very knowledgeable and will amaze you with their navigation skills out in the unmarked, wide-open parks. The bush picnics were delicious as was all the food. Each hotel had a different offering and all were good. Worth noting, each hotel differs a bit with the in-room beverages. Ask for clarification so you’re not charged $40 for that “included” bottle of wine.

With each flight to your next park, there is a SkySafari representative making sure you and your bags get in the right aircraft. The Cessna Caravans are super quiet and very comfortable. If you only have one pilot and you're interested, ask if you can sit in the right seat by them. My daughter and I both did and snapped some great photos - one of those unforgettable memories!

Another thing my daughter did was ask to stay up late at the Elewana Serengeti Pioneer/Migration Camp with one of the night guards. That night she learned so much about animals, local culture, and customs conversing with Daniel, who is Masai. Hyenas came in looking for food but never bothered them. The local male lion made his rounds and sounded off unnerving her a bit but with Daniel nearby, she never had to worry. Thank you Daniel, for letting my daughter join you on night security. She's forever thankful you did. **This was not part of the itinerary but an example of how accommodating everyone was.

The parks are spectacular. We were very fortunate to see the Big 5. 1) Elephant · 2) Cape Buffalo · 3) Black Rhino · 4) Lion · 5) Leopard.

We also got to see the Ugly 5, 1) Warthog · 2) Vulture · 3) Wildebeest · 4) Marabou Stork · 5) Hyena. As I said, May is the best month.

On our return from the safari to the Coffee Lodge we were greeted by Clever from SkySafari and shown to our outdoor table for another delicious lunch. We chose to stay two extra nights so we could relax before the long flight home. I recommend having a massage at both the Coffee Lodge in Arusha and The Manor at Ngorongoro. Both were very good. Be sure to bring your bathing suit. Each location has a pool to relax in at the end of the day.

One very important thing in Tanzania: CASH IS KING. Bring enough for staff tips and trinkets at the Masai Boma. At the Boma you are supporting the local village but you will find some of the same items for less money in Arusha. Choose wisely.

SkySafari arranged for us to have a trip to the Cultural Heritage Center in Arusha. If you love art this is the place to go. While it is set up as a museum of sorts, you can purchase anything you see. The founder supports many worthwhile local charities and your purchases go toward helping them. There is much more than art there, too. There’s a restaurant, a Tanzanite counter, and rooms filled with textiles, baskets, and sculptures. We spent several hours there and had a "guide" provided by the Center to help us navigate the many shops and thousands of products from Tanzania.

On the final day at the Coffee Lodge, we were able to use our room as the "day room" offered by SkySafari as part of the trip. Our transfers to the Arusha airport were, again, flawless. Clever accompanied us and made certain we had everything before we went in. As small as it is, be prepared for numerous security checks throughout the airport.

Asante sana to the staff of SkySafari and the Elewana properties for the trip of a lifetime!

Words cannot describe how grateful we are to have this experience with SkySafari and Elewana. It's a truly luxury and personalized experience with some of the kindest people we ever met. We stayed at Arusha Coffee Lodge, Tarangire Treetops, Ngorongoro Crater Manor and Pioneer Camp at Serengeti. The staffs at each hotel are loving and attentive. They treat us like their family. The hotel facilities and food are amazing! The safari guides are very experienced that they showed us the unforgettable and amazing nature of Tanzania. We want to thank the staffs we met that gave us such good energy to bring back: Clever, Praygod and his sister who made us beautiful bead bracelets at Coffee lodge, Anthony, Peter D, and Stan at Treetop, Baraka, Emanu and the Altus and Leche at the Manor, Juma, Bless and Justin at Pioneer camp. I don't know the chefs' names but I want to give you a special thank you to the amazing food you cooked. You showed us that a truly dedicated and creative chef can do with a humble kitchen in the middle of a national park. Thank you all for the life changing experience. We miss you already!
