Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Prior to our safari we visited the Culture Center and its gift shop and Tanzanite store. We also read some of the reviews here on TripAdvisor which steered us away from that store.
We talked to a few locals and our safari guides. They all said that the Tanzanite experience and Collectors Corner was the best place to buy. The salesman at the Culture Center did not give us a good vibe. When asked about the tax on the Tanzanite, he said not to worry - he would see that we did not have to pay it. Fishy.
There are scores of places that sell Tanzanite. However, if you want the stone valued before you buy it, you have to take it to the Tanzanite Experience or Collector's Corner as they are the only ones who are certified to give the value. So, we cut to the chase and bought there.
We are happy with the sales experience and certification that was provided.

Their showroom in Mount Meru Hotel is beautiful, I was there a couple of times, and received great advise and warm services from the boss and her number one assistant Shanifa ! I highly recommend this company to buy gems from Tanzania, especially tanzanite, of which they have a wide diversity at very affordable price :D
