From the moment we arrived it was clear that Jurassic Fishing was a special place. We booked a couples package of 3 rods for 5 days (with 6 nights accommodation ). The site itself is spectacular. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate as is the whole site! The food is really good quality and the menu is extensive. The staff are clearly very invested in the fishing resort and are extremely helpful with a focus
Of ensuring you get the most out of your experience with them.
The fishing itself is something else. I am not an experienced fisher - the other half is - I normally read a book, but I have to say that I have had the most amazing time here. I have caught so many monster fish and in 5 days of getting up to fish by 7am until 6pm I haven’t once been bored.
Our stats are:
5 days
56 fish
2,660lbs Estimated
Biggest was 185 arapaima and a 150lb Siamese carp.
Check them out on Instagram or you tube. You won’t be disappointed.

I went solo for a couple of weeks and had an unbelievable trip! All staff are helpful and friendly from the bar staff to the gardeners to the ghillies. Tom, George and Oliver are all top guys and will put you right on the fish. Caught plenty of cracking fish even though it was during a heatwave so the fishing was a little slow but that did not dent my trip in the slightest, had over 30 fish in total still. Food was superb and the resort grounds are spotless. Will definitely have to return to catch that arapaima that got away!

Just don't think any words or descriptions I could write really wouldn't do this place any justice. From the start your made to feel exceptionally welcome, the waiting staff are superb, the food quality is outstanding. The grounds are kept to a very high standard as well are the rooms. Tom & Oliver are such awesome guys, very friendly, very knowledgeable, always willing to take time with you as a individual. Nothing is ever too much trouble, these guys and staff have made the trip for myself. Obviously the fishing side of things again is fantastic and again words can not describe or do this fishing experience any justice. 100% recommend this place and you won't be dissapoited, this is what dreams are made of and more.

We have just returned from 8 nights 7 days fishing at Jurassic with my wife and 12 year old grandson. We have been coming to Jurassic since it opened and it gets better each time.
We stayed in room 8b and sofa turned into bed for grandson. The beds and pillows were so comfy, good air condition and electric fans as well. Tea and coffee provided along with water in the fridge.
Shampoo and shower gel provided as well as towels.
There is a small pool with sun loungers and towels. It was mostly cloudy with occasional showers but nice to cool off in the pool as was so humid.
Need to say a big thankyou to Tom, Ollie and George who are always there to offer advice and valuable information on fishing on both specimen and species lake. They want you to have the best experience you can and obviously the main thing is to catch fish.
We caught carp from 35 pounds up to 180 pounds and Scarface was caught x 2 from swim 14 and swim 3. Our grandsons first time at Jurassic and he caught 160 pound carp.
The gillies are invaluable and willing to help with all aspects of fishing.
First time on species lake and caught boney lipped barb, Julians carp , pleco catfish, Niger ripsaw.
The fishing equipment was all of a very high standard and was prepared and ready for you each morning.
You are given tokens to use in exchange for pellets, boilies mackerel.
The salas have seating and electric fan to keep cool . There are bamboo showers around the lake for hand washing after using the fresh baits or just need to cool down. There is also toilet and washing facilities at swim 7 which means you don't have to leave your swim for too long.
The grounds are beautiful and Gardner's do a fantastic job keeping on top of the plants.
The pool is small but fine for dipping and cooling down with loungers and towels.
The complex is gated with 24 hour security on site. Our grandson loved cooling off in the pool ordering smoothies to drink by the pool. The staff in the anglers rest are so friendly and grandson used to chat with them and order ice creams or juices.
Shout out to Lovely Sue who has been at Jurassic since it opened and great to see her being promoted. She is always helpful from sorting out laundry, driver to pharmacy or just a friendly chat to see how we are doing.
Need to mention the restaurant which offers English, Italian, Indian and Thai food with amazing Sunday dinners.
We loved having our breakfast served in the swims each morning as don't like to leave swims for a minute.
Each morning a box of iced drinks is provided with fruit juice, waters and rehydration drinks.
Our grandson asking when we can take him back to Jurassic looks like he is hooked.

I have been fishing for nearly 50 years. I can say with no doubt that this was my best fishing experience ever. The lake is full of monsters, many in excess of 100 lbs. The fish are so powerful, it is almost unbelievable.
The staff at the resort make everything run seamlessly: the resort is beautiful, the service is perfect, the food is excellent. The fish experts and gillies work extremely to put you in the best conditions to catch fish. Even my teenage son who is not a fisherman had a blast.
Keep up the great work guys! I hope that I will have the opportunity to visit again

Incredible fishing lake, with friendly helpful people, luxurious, quality equipment and special fish
Aug 2024 • Family
What an incredible place. From the lake with it's hidden monster to the Gillies and Service from the restaurant and the bar. This is the best place I have fished in many years. Although a tough and slow day on the swim we had, the team pulled out all of the stops to ensure my 14 year old son caught an amazing 45Ib Siamese carp and then worked hard to make sure I had a catch. The Gillies here are gurus, just brilliant.
The luxury provided; from the equipment, to the huts, the food and drinks just make for an extremely comfortable experience. Olivier and George thank you for your hospitality and sharing your experience and guidance, I've learnt so much in one day.
I will be back and will be catching more. I cannot wait.

Absolutely unreal where dreams are made. All of the staff at the resort and fisheries couldn’t do enough to help. The knowledge of the Guillies and staff was so helpful as they want you to catch. I even tried the Jurassic salt water catching Grouper and Baramundi. The Specimen lake didn’t let me down with a variety of big species caught. This was my 2nd trip to Jurassic and I can’t wait to come again.

Everything about our stay was spot on. Accommodation was 5 star and spotless, food was amazing, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the facilities top drawer.
The scenery is just stunning with the ground staff making sure that everything looks pristine
As for the fishing - Got my bucket list fish (Arapaima) and my biggest ever Carp at 95lb.
Cannot recommend highly enough

After hearing nothing but good things about Jurassic Mountain Resort, we decided that we couldn’t visit Thailand without dropping by! We managed to squeeze in a short 3 day trip, and what a trip it was!!
From start to finish, the staff and gilly’s were nothing short of amazing. I genuinely couldn’t fault a thing at Jurassic. Everyone was so welcoming, and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed.
The resort itself is fabulous, very well maintained, looks amazing and is a very pleasurable place to be. The fishing is on another level and the fish are in amazing condition. The guides did everything they could to help us get started and catching fish, and the help never stopped.
A big thank you to Tom, Oli and George who were outstanding throughout the session! We will most definitely be back… very soon :)

Are the 3 meals a day included in the booking price based on 1 fishing and one non fishing ? Planning an 11 night stay.
Written 4 October 2021
Hi Mark. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, if you booking one of our fishing packages, you get the accommodation, fishing and three meals a day. The extra guest has an option to pay 1,800 Baht for their 3 meals a day if they are not fishing.

All the details about the rates are on their website and what is on offer there. We thought it was well priced. Depends on your budget though. They are very helpful via email if you need to ask specific questions. Hope this helps.

Cheers Marc

Hi Marc
You've probably got an answer by now, but if not, I'm sure the answer is yes to both questions.
Contact Jurassic Mountain directly on their website and they will sort you out.

Is hau Hin and pattaya close to Jurassic fishing resort
Written 16 September 2016
You can now catch a ferry from Pattaya to Hua Hin, so you can get to Jurassic in around 2hrs or 2hrs 30 mins from Pattaya

Hi not an experienced fisher but is it still ok to come fishing
Written 25 August 2016
Mitzes, yes its still OK to come as a novice, we have many novice anglers visiting the fishery, and those that listen to our gillies instruction will still catch fish. One persons answer here is from a guy who only managed to catch one fish, which is why we assume they are sore, as apparently it requires no skill? (Yet he still only managed one fish!)
If you read the reviews typically you will see anglers catch four to a dozen fish, although its never a guarantee as that would make it boring, but if your humble enough to consider yourself a novice, and listen to guidance accordingly, you will do better than someone who thinks they are a professional. And don't forget we have some of the biggest freshwater fish in the world swimming around in our lake, so who knows what can happen on the day!

Can my husband go for the day to fish here when we stay in cha am in January and if so how much is a one day pass
Written 22 June 2015
Hi, Yes of course we can arrange day trips from all local hotels. Please use the contact form on our website, to make a booking. In high season you need to book well in advance to be sure of a place.
Kind Regards,
