Central Plaza is the Only place in CR that I know of where one can buy imported foods from UK, USA, Germany, Switzerland etc. via "TOPS" supermarket. There is a good range of things to buy though some are cheaper elsewhere. One criticism- free wi-fi is available everywhere in CR except in Central Plaza; here it is an option for... More

A good place to shop for locally produced stuff like fruits n snacks. The plaza is well supported by many local n foreign retailers n an excellent place for last minute shopping n eating. Clean n safe place too.

Taking 40 minutes free shuttle car (si-loo) ride from Le Meridien chiangrai hotel on weekday with only me as passenger, I have a chance to look around this shopping plaza (it's the same plan for most of this brand "central plaza" with a bit difference all over thailand. The goods/ products / food and frenchised restaurant are the same standard... More

I needed to top up my phone so I walked to this place. I got my top up and wandered around. They played jingle bells in the background mall music. Nice place plenty of shops, food, you name it you can find it. Lots of massage chairs, seemed strange. Well worth a visit and a wander around.

Central Plaza Chiang Rai could really be any shopping centre in any country in the world. It is not big and quite easy to get around. We were in an out within the hour but if you were shopping for something specific or wanted to see a movie a couple of hours would be required. It was very clean, well... More

Plenty of food option ! especially Japanese, and shops. The mall opens at 11am but if you need a morning coffee fix like me, Starbucks opens at 9am. There is also a cinema complex upstairs. Go to the supermarket on the ground floor for freshly made sandwiches, small takeaway meals and pastries, and then grab a fresh fruit smoothie just... More

Try the food in the food court area upstairs. It is incredibly cheap and beautiful. All places speak limited english and you have to purchase a food card before ordering..average meal is around 60 baht. Try the mango sticky rice or a pad thai omelette.

This is Central's mall in Chaing Rai and as such has all the shops, stores, cafes, and entertainment that you find in the Central malls elsewhere in Thailand. As such this is a good place if you're in town and want something familiar in an air-con and pleasant environment.

We went to Central Plaza in Chiang Rai when we were debating whether or not we would move there or Chiang Mai. The mall has a play area near the movie theater, which is a must if you have kids and they want to do some activities that are inside with AC. The food court is good. It also has... More
