    Delicious wine and food
Went for lunch, winery tour and to see the elephants. Experienced Monsoon rains during our visit so only a short visit to the winery and elephants but very worth it, had a personal guide who provided detailed information on the grapes and history of the winery. Privileged to be able to feed the elephants. Food at the restaurant was Italian based and delicious. I tried the signature red and white wines, which were quite heavy but glad I tried them.
Dear Shaboom Many thanks for your wonderful review and you must agree that the vineyard also looks fabulous when under rain! The elephants loved you feeding them Thanks again Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery

    Beautiful view
It's worth the trip. Consider it a relaxing day trip to the countryside. There's no need to join a tour; just hire a car for greater flexibility. We paid THB 1,800 to hire a nice SUV for the day, which transported the four of us to our destination and back to the Marriott Hua Hin. There's an entrance fee of THB 200 per adult, but it's easy to offset this with purchases on wine and food. We began our visit by relaxing at the restaurant, which boasts an amazing view. I tried the wine tasting. However, don't expect too much in terms of wine quality. The wines are fairly young and resemble table wines. Instead of taking the vineyard tour, we chose to mountain bike around the vineyard. Afterwards, we visited the bar and enjoyed some chilled juices and sangria.
Dear Phoebe L Many thanks for your review and advise to tourists on how to come to the vineyard . Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery

    Wonderful vineyard visit
It’s about an hour drive from Hua Hin, located in a wonderful valley surrounding by mountains. The winery has a tasting room, a lovely restaurant and offers a tour with a little jeep. We paid 200 bhat/person as entry fee, you can redeem for food. The tour is 150 bhat/ person or 450/ pax with tasting There are bikes for rent or you can simply wonder around. It is so beautiful and picture perfect. Highly recommend

Beautiful winery with a mediocre restaurant
Beautiful winery, everything very well maintained. A tour through the vineyards, which takes place every hour, is highly recommended. So you can see a lot of this beautiful winery. You should also visit the retired elephants, especially if you have children with you. The restaurant was disappointing, the food wasn't particularly good and unfortunately a bit too expensive. You can easily find better restaurants in Hua Hin. However, the view in the restaurant is fantastic, which is why we definitely recommend visiting the restaurant anyway. Recommendation: order a wonderful light white wine (Colombard) and enjoy a few small snacks and the view. As a wine fan, I unfortunately didn't see the production facility and it wasn't offered. CONCLUSION: Definitely visit if you are in Hua Hin for a few days, but don't plan a big lunch there.
Dear MGAZH many thanks for your review and sorry to hear that the food was not to your expectations, will inform the chef and let him know of your comments. The winery is not situated at the vineyard location and this is why you were not able to see it but in future speak to staff and they would gladly give you all the required info Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery

Great day trip from Hua Hin
Visited Monsoon valley on a day trip from Hua Hin, we enjoyed the Lunch so much after going on the wine Tour in the vineyard. Food was exceptional, and my kids have also joined the Elephant Meet and greet tour they provide and they enjoyed so much. They only have 2 Elephants and they take care of them very well.

    Not your lolling greens
Monsoon Valley Vineyard, Hua Hin District: A vineyard in Hua Hin district? This was a leftfield surprise. Close to the border with Myanmar is the 300-acres beloved vineyard of the Hua Hin district. Lolling green hills akin to the ones you’re used to in Australia or Europe you don’t get. Mind you, we did a massive wine trail in Porto in June. But this is cute and sweet, if you place firmly place it in context. Thai Wine country shook the international scene when Monsoon bagged eight silver medals at AWC Vienna 2023, so they do hold some substance. A 45 minute drive out of Hua Hin downtown, you can either arrange your own driver or get on the shuttle bus with the winery with a pick up at their wine bar in downtown for 600 baht. We had a personal driver but they failed to tell us to pay the driver direct. So come armed with cash. Tour around the vineyard on the safari bus was short and sweet - with the necessary trimmed details. The guide isn’t an oenophile. Global weather patterns meant 50% of the production is affected. They export 30% of their wine internationally. As you would have guessed, whites wouldn’t be their strongest suit. Shiraz is. You pay for the wine tasting and if you fancy, food pairings too at the elevated restaurant overlooking the vineyard. We came for the 3 PM tour which was perfect as you watch the sun dip in the valley cleavage. There are small hassles you get attached to the culture - staff hurry you through the wine tasting experience but hold your ground and sip, swirl and savour your wine at your own pace. #eatstylishtravelstylish
Dear kimwillrule This was one of the nicest and most concise review we had at the Vineyard and a big thank you for making it so informative. It is amazing to see how our wines have improved over the years and are now appreciated by the connoisseurs from both New and Old World. I just have to mention the transfer is 300 Baht per person and it include the vineyard tour and a welcome drink and we are looking forward to your return Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery

Wow what a winner of a winery
Oh my wow! What an amazing experience, the scenery is incredible you could be in Tuscany or the south of France. The wine tasting lunch was really good, we took the premium tasting where they pour 5 different wines. This whites are fantastic the rose is nice and 2 reds are good as well. The vineyard has been awarded over 340 international awards in the 12-15 years of operation and I expect it will get better with each year. The food is excellent and added to the side of ambience and views it makes for fantastic day. There is also an elephant sanctuary on site and also tours of vineyard.
Dear martinwH6441UM Thank you so much for your review and praises about the wines. In Fact we have reached 418 awards to date and we are pushing for many more to come! Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery

    A must-see in Hua Hin !
A lovely and unexpected experience, only 45 minutes away from Hua Hin. A good wine amateurs, we obviously had to come to visit the Monsoon Valley Vineyard, and it was such a beautiful moment ! The place is very peaceful and the view on the surrounding mountains is absolutely astonishing. If you come visit Monsoon Valley, we can't recommend you enough to stay a bit longer for a wine testing, it is definitely worth it !

    Interesting tour and good restaurant
We booked a taxi to take us from Hua Hin to Monsoon Valley vineyard, wait for us and then take us back. There is an excellent restaurant with tables overlooking the vineyard. You feel like you could just as easily be in France or Italy as Thailand. There is a regular bus tour of the vineyard explaining the different types of grape and how they are used. There is a small shop to purchase wine and other merchandise. You can also fees some elephants nearby.

    Perfect day out.
This is such a wonderful place, nestled in the mountains. Our second visit, we chose to use their shuttle service as it was difficult to get a cab back. The shuttle service is available from monsoon valley winebar, 2nd floor villa market. You pay 300 baht per person, which includes a bottle of water and a complimentary grape juice on arrival. Your automatically booked onto the vineyard tour (included for your 300 baht) and into the restaurant (additional cost) the journey takes about 45 mins in a wonderfully air conditioned mini bus. The restaurant is delicious and the setting second to none. Food includes western and Thai and is exceptional. We ordered BBQ corn ribs, veggie pasta and crab fried rice and both agreed it was divine. The wine goes without saying, your in a vineyard! At the vineyard you can book an elephant visit for 250 baht which includes a basket of bananas to feed them. Two beautiful female elephants will great you and happily feed and let you gently stroke them. The mini bus returns back to villa market 3 hours later and is the perfect end to a perfect day.

On 28 November, I paid 300 baht for a tour of the Monsoon Valley Vineyard. The advertising which is totally false was for a tour of the vineyard with wine tasting. I was the only traveller from my pick up point at their Monsoon Valley Restaurant at Market Villa in Hua Hin. I was taken in a van for about a 40 minute drive to the vineyard. They gave me a welcome drink which I declined. After about 10 minutes I got in to this open van with a waiter who was doubling as the tour guide. I knew that something was wrong in about 5 minutes. The guide told me that the tour was only to see the plantation with the vine "shrubs". Their production facility was in Bangkok. I said "take me back " I did not come to see the vine trees. I asked to be taken back to my pick point. I complained to the manager at the restaurant.
Totally false advertising. If you want to have a drive in a vineyard looking at wine creepers. This is good. This tour tries to push their wine which is totally overpriced. 700 baht for a red wine. Same bottle is about 250 baht at any store in Thailand. They push their restaurant with its food. They try to entice you with their wine tasting in order that you will buy same
In summary it is a waste of money, wasted time on a journey to visually see their vine plantation. Please do not go.

Dear James P, Thank you for your review and you are a well seasoned and experienced traveler and TripAdvisor contributor and have a right to have an opinion about what you visit in your trips. I would be grateful if you could contact me personally on my email guido.c@siamwinery.com and explain the full nature of your complain. The tour is advertised as that, a visit and tour of the vineyard and a that includes a welcome drink, therefore I do not understand how it can be a ripoff as you explained. In addition to that our wines have over 300 well documented awards for quality, and you will not find them anywhere else apart from 5 star Hotels all over the country as well as at the duty-free in the airport ( and not at 250 baht per bottle). We are extremely sorry we could not make your trip an enjoyable experience, as it has been for the many thousand travelers who have come to sample and endured a delightful time in our vineyards and Restaurant. The drive is well worth it (they have a shuttle from town) and is very beautiful. It gives a taste of the nearby country life and lots to see. At the restaurant, sitting on the terrace allows you to soak in an incredible view of the vineyard and surrounding mountains. This is a must for any visitor and living in Hua Hin my wife and I want to come at least every other month for a nice lunch and have some nature therapy. Its fantastic. Priced accordingly and enjoyed drinks with our lunch and desert after. A trip here will ensure you have a memorable day. Years ago we toured the vineyard and that was a treat as well. If you have not yet visited, reserve now, if you were like us and its been a while, reserve now :) Staff were very helpful, friendly and added to the experience.

Though it is a 45 minute drive from Hua Hin, it's well worth the effort. Tucked away amid lots of hills Monsoon Valley is considerably cooler than town and benefits from a lovely breeze.

The eating/tasting area is very spacious and just what is needed in these social distancing times. Whichever way you look you are rewarded with lovely views.

We were there to eat and drink raher than for a tour. I tried the red wine tasting menu, and being a novice, was happy to be guided by the very helpful staff. It's a good way in and extremely reasonable price-wise. And it was surprisingly good, so good in fact that I ordered another bottle after finishing the tasters!

The food menu is very extensive and I couldn't fault anything. I had the rack of lamb and it was delicious.

HINT: If you are gonna be in the area for a while, take advantage of purchasing membership. It costs THB1,500 but gives you a discount off your bill and various other specials that you actually end up making money on the deal. And that's without the discount vouchers for the wine bar in Hua Hin town.

The ambience is lovely at the vineyard, service is satisfactory and the food was good. There are a few issues though - they no longer serve beer, which means that they alienate a percentage of potential customers. Also there is now an entrance fee of B200 pp, which we didn’t mind paying, however it wasn’t clear when we received our bill, whether the correct deduction had been made. Was a pity to have to question the bill after a lovely, relaxing Sunday lunch.

Dear Trishb2302 Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear about your comment on the beer and we took the view that it would serve the purpose best to take it off our menu to allow guests to focus more on our products. Also sorry about the issue with your bill which must have been a miss understanding, I would also like to point out it is not a entrance fee but a payable voucher that can be redeemed when you ask for the bill as you mentioned. We would love to have you back for more relaxing Sunday lunches and perhaps if we can convince you to enroll in our membership program you will see many good benefits one of which will be the voucher less entrance on production of your member card. We went to Monsoon Valley Vineyard midweek and although initially we had the restaurant to ourselves it soon got busy.

The staff were very attentive and made an effort to adjust things on the menu for a fussy 6 year old. The food was great and it made our daughters day when we were able to sample fresh homemade ice cream. Thank you!

As it was our first time there we took a tour around the vineyards and went to feed the elephants. Our young one thoroughly enjoyed her day and as did mum and dad. Win win really!

I look forward to going there again to sample the breakfast which looks amazing.

From the moment we arrived and saw the view we knew we had arrived somewhere special. We bought a couple of drinks at the Sala restaurant and took time to appreciate the scenery with the vineyards in a valley surrounded by lush green hills. We were free to take a walk around the vines and watch the viticulturists do their work.

After this we met with the restaurant manager, Angwara (Apple), who was able to give us a tour of the vineyard, explaining the origins of how Monsoon started and has developed to the award winning vineyard it has become in 20 years. I would definitely recommend a tour of the vineyard regardless of season as you learn so much about the history and the ethos of what Monsoon are about.

We finished with some wine tasting and I must say that as a lover of wine I was not disappointed. The Shiraz is unique in its nose and flavour due to the climate and atmosphere. Not surprised it’s won awards. My favourite was their signature red and my wife’s the sparkling red called Donburi.

This is a must visit place if you love wine… in fact a place to visit even for a great meal with lovely wines and a beautiful environment. Unfortunately the elephants weren’t very well so we were unable to visit the sanctuary… which says a lot about how they view animal welfare!

Well done Angwara and team. You deserve the 5* 👏🏽

We were the first couple from Europe that the Kuoni rep Janko could arrange a visit to Monsoon Valley. Our experience was excellent we toured the vineyards with a guide who provided insight into which grapes were grown in which vineyard. An operation that produces 300,000 bottles of wine annually, and as we found out do not always release certain wines if the grapes have not produced the right quality.

Visiting the elephant sanctuary gave you that up close and personal experience as you fed them. I was impressed by the gentleman looking after these majestic mammals and it was clear he had an emotional connection with them.

Our trip was topped off with a wine tasting lunch, a variety of cold cut meats and cheese with associate premier wines. As wine drinkers the quality of the taste surprises us as we were naive to wines produced from Thailand. A sparkling set the scene followed by reds and whites. We had a desert that was accompanied with a Late Harvest Chenin Blanc that was light and not overly sweet.

We travelled to Hua Hin for our close friend’s eldest daughters wedding. Hire a car and drive down from Bangkok, that was an experience in itself! Did all the touristy things then one day drove up the hills to the Monsoon Valley vineyard. Weather typical, like 90 degrees and 90% humidity. Had lunch overlooking the vineyard, nice meal and reasonably priced. Then had the wine tasting at our table, even the reds were in ice buckets it was soo hot. Unfortunately none of the whites took my fancy and only one red was ok. On leaving, bought two bottles of their 2014 Signature red wine. Last weekend, went down to Kiama to a Vietnamese restaurant and took one of these bottles. It was surprisingly good, must have been the heat and humidity that originally turned me off it. To anyone travelling to Hua Hin, I would recommend a trip out to Monsoon Valley for a meal and the view down over the valley - just puck a cooler day !!

Dear Greg F Many thanks for your kind review and ... you are right! Wine tasting could also be a suggestive mood to create a different experience from one day to another and specially in hot weather. In Thailand it is customary to sample cold reds and the other day I had to match a main dish that had seared Tuna and pork belly and could not easily find a match until I reduced the temperature to our Shiraz red and that... did the trick. Looking forward to your next visit and lets see how we can increase these taste buds with some interesting changes to the temperature of the wines! Guido Campigotto GM of F&B at Siam Winery
