This is a good stop for maximum15 minutes. Not much to do...the place is pretty and vintagey. Some food stalls but definitely not for a proper meal.

The railway station is worth a visit, both to see the life at a station today, and to get the feeling of the good old railway days.

We got the train from Bangkok to Hua Hin. It was a chaotic time as the King had just died but still it was relatively easy. The Train from BKK to Hua Hin was a recliner seated carriage with a free orange cordial, cake and blanket. The conductor told us when it was time to get off. It cost 480Bht... More

If you like train station, this is a good place to visit. It is a nice place to take picture and learn about the history of the station. Nearby there is a library on a disused train....reminded me of The book Totto-chan - The little girl at the window.

Beautiful working station on the main line from Bangkok. Looks very much to be modelled on a Victorian design plus some Thai flair. If you arrived by transport other than the train this station is a must for a visit/photo opportunity. Built in 1910, rebuilt in 1926 and relocated to it's present position in 1967. Noted for it's Royal waiting... More

Built in 1923. Still very much functional. Picturesque. Charming. Dainty teak structured. Amazing. There is a platform, waiting area specifically mean't for Thai Royalty. Fascinating. For those exalted ones. The common platform is exactly that... for commoners. Great eye candy. Worth a visit.

It makes a change to go to an old railway station and see that it has been restored to how it was in the past, also next to the station is the building the Royals used when they visited Hua Hin, this building has also been restored to how it was when the Royals came to visit. On the opposite... More
