The area is quite run down
The animals are all quite thin n restless
The giraffe n zebra seems super hungry 😅
Over all ok to visit
But I feel not worth to travel 3 hours plus from Bangkok just to visit this safari

- Overall experience OK. Not as hype as we thought it would be.
- The giraffe encounter for 1500 baht is mainly a photo opp of 15 mins - a ripped off if you think about it.
- This place is not flexible when it comes to refunds or even partial refunds.
- May find some staff are not as friendly
- The condition of the open zoo looks like not up to the standards
- Crocodile show area is dirty and feels lonely

Will come again? No.

Went to Zoo to see how the animals were, this place wasn’t too expensive as some places can be quite expensive.
We hopped on a bus in the safari park and was taken around he park showing us the fallow deer and lions and cheetahs and tigers as well as a sport where we stopped to feed them and the giraffe who decided it was easier to put his head inside the bus to get all the food LOL much to the amusement of the children in the bus. The animals are well versed with the routine so if you want to get fed you come up to the bus to get the food otherwise you miss out, After the bus ride we walked around the other part of the zoo to look at many other smaller animals such as goats, macaw bid, meerkats and some younger cats that were in a seperate arrears and which you could feed as well. Wasn’t too bad a day here. For Farang its 300 baht each. Thai people pay less,

I do believe it should not be like this in 21st century… the bus tour was nice with giraffes feeding from the bus. But then you see the elephants waiting for the show and they were like prisoners on chains with their leg.. that is not how it should be. Also the crocodile show is not what we should let animals be doing. Visited later elephant world and that was a much better experience in all aspects.

Booked the family package and paid about usd 600 welll upfront. However due to unforeseen circumstances, we couldnt make it and informed the park very early on the day itself. However, the park was very inflexible, we can neither rebook for another day nor get some partial refund.

We took a private tour and started our journey to Kanchanaburi safari at 8am. It took us 2hrs 15mins to reach. By the time we arrived the open giraffe feeding was fully booked and they only had open slots for 40 tickets per day. Every bowl of food will set you back 100 baht. We took a bus and off we went. Fed some animals through the bus and young adult tigers/lions and leapords.

Pros: interesting experience as we get to feed animals

Cons: place should be better maintained. more slots to be allocated for the girrafe encounter

Nice day trip to explore out from Bangkok. The open safari concept is fun with the animal feeding and we have fabulous photo time and close contact with the animals. Brought along my 2 teenagers kids and they totally enjoyed the experience.

I chartered a private transport from Bangkok to the safari as the ride takes around s 3 hours plus (includes jam). Driver was nice and familiar with the area which speak proper English.

Unexpectedly fun. It wasnt just a bus ride at the aopen Zoo. The giraffe invited themselves into our bus to be fed carrots. They were very tame and friendly. It’s a wonderful experience to be in close contact with them.

I worked as a volunteer at the Safari Park when it ran a volunteer programme and the volunteers did the upmost to ensure the well being of the animals. At the start of the pandemic the owner closed the volunteer programme and the well being of the animals has been made the least priority. The animals are now severely neglected and have suffered much abuse of the past two years, Kenny of the animals that I worked with have died. Please don't go to the park and continue to fund this abuse if you love animals please find somewhere else to go that looks after them and spend your money there.
Several of the volunteers have tried to convince the owner to change the situation for the animals and he has refused to listen, please don't continue to find this man and his awful treatment of the animals that have already made him do much money.
Please report this place if you can and hopefully we can stop the abuse once and for all
