Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came her as a brief afternoon stop to hopefully cool down with the waterfall. It’s a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. Lots of kids playing and everyone wears shorts and a t shirt to swim (no western swimwear). It’s not a rule just an observation that conservative seems to be better.

This place is well organised. The waterfalls are very scenic. They’ve different levels. On some levels you can swim. Good space for picnic. We had lunch in a restaurant at the parking. We recommend the place, there were not that many tourists.

Depart Bangkok hotel at 0700 to Muang Kanchanaburi, Bridge Over River Kwai for a stopover visit for photo shoot & shopping.Next depart to Krasae Cave and splendid wooden curving railway track bridge visit ,hundred of metre above a river and was told the train crossing here is at slow speed.
Next we head to Saiyoke Noi for lunch and later we walk to the waterfall which was off the main road. Many stalls were setup along the way to the waterfall. It's a small waterfall but being the raining season now, there were abundant water flowing now and currently there is no entrance fee charge. We walk closer to the splendid waterfall tier for our photo shoot and tour the surrounding but didn't get to the top the waterfall for a bird eye view.
After this refreshing & cooling visit,we head to Hindad Hot Spring for our 1 hour leg soaking experience at 35 degree Celsius water. There is also bathing, toilet and changing room with locker facilities at this site.A cold water stream is flowing beside the Hot Spring pools so that we can cool ourselves down and there is an entrance fee of 40 Bht.Finally,it's a long journey back to Bangkok for our dinner.

We travelled from Kanchanaburi to Sai Yok via motorbike which took around 3 hours. And decided to stay the night in a tent.
When you arrive the entrance fee is 300 baht per person.
You then have to head towards the park headquarters to get any information which is also in the direction of the falls. The staff speak basic English but are kind and welcoming.
The cost of the tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats and 2 pillows was 270 baht. You are able to pitch your tent almost anywhere in the park and we chose to pitch it 100m away from the waterfall. What an experience.
The park doesn't have much going on and the two waterfalls are easy to see in about 30minutes but to stay overnight is lovely. There were only 5 people in the park which gave a unique experience to the camping.
The falls themselves are unique but it is a long way to come from Kanchanaburi to see them and some may be left disappointed by the experience.

Fees much higher for foreign nationals...racist practice that turned our group off. We found it unfair that 7 of us had to pay much higher than our friend who had Thai nationality. We decided to skip this site. Frankly I am tired of being mis-treated by tourist sites because of my skin colour and foreign status. It's unfair. It's not enough that I spent thousands on the trip, food, and hotels...tourism boards should reconsider how offensive this practice is to tourists.

Picturesque waterfalls in the national park.
A short walk along a well laid path takes you to a section of the Thai-Burma Death Railway. Includes an old Japanese loco and a section of rail.

After visiting Erawan waterfalls we were told to give Sai Yok waterfall a miss. However we are so glad we didn't. Whilst there is only one waterfall it is very impressive and perfect for swimming / relaxing. The park is full of local families rather than overrun with tourists. As such it is important to cover up when swimming.
Easy to get to via from Kanchanaburri. Take the train to Nam Tok (100 baht) plus a short tuk tuk ride from the station (20 baht).

We travelled a distance to see the waterfall. Unfortunately, the waterfall has no water - totally dry. Recommend that you check before visit.

hello, I would like to know is there any entrance fee for entering the Sai Yok Waterfall? if there is, how much?
Written 7 May 2017
The entrance fee for farangs is B300 - considerably less if you are Thai. If Rick D managed to get in free, he must have been very lucky.
