The palace itself is a beautiful place from the outside and is being secured by a few armed guards. It is a beautiful thing to see in petchaburi, but the inside is nearly empty and poorly maintained. Only a few interior attributes are shown inside the building.

One of the 3 famous palaces located in the province, this one represents the combined efforts of Rama V & Rama VI to create a lot European style palace. The design is interesting - German with Italian marble, impressive chandeliers & Chinese tile. And really pretty gardens. It is pretty deserted - lacking both furniture & people. It seems to... Loved this German influenced white elephant of a building. On an army base, security have to let you pass. Must dismount from bike! Ticket 50bht from booth by east side of palace. Near refreshment kiosk. We had the whole palace to ourselves for the whole time we were in it. Free to go everywhere, all rooms. No staff in the... More

The Palace looks good from the outside...particularly the surroundings. But inside there's nothing to see but photos and a few stuffs. It's better to have picnic outside, do some activities.

Not for me one of the best attractions in Phetchaburi but maybe worth a quick look. I walked all the way from the town centre and not sure it was really worth it. You cannot go in so you are left with just admiring it from the outside and maybe sit for a while in the nice grounds before heading... More

If you visit Khao Wang in Phetchaburi, you can see this palace. It receives just a fraction of the visitors that Khao Wang does. It was built in a European style by a German architect which gives you some insight into King Rama V's thinking at the time. It has a certain charm and elegance. We were the only visitors... More
