You could spend a lot of time here just sitting back and taking in the views and looking at the interesting buildings and contents. We would have loved to bring home one of the lamp-posts and some of the interesting items in the rooms!! Unfortunately Mr Benz could not fit them into his Toyota Landcruiser.

We enjoyed our visit to the Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park in Phetchaburi. The park was larger than I thought and we enjoyed several aspects of the park including the hilly terrain which made the experience more like a hike than anything else. We also loved the monkeys at this park although we found them to be slightly aggressive at... More

Accessed by funicular railway, no monkeys around when we were there, but busy with tourists. Pleasant gardens and small museum, interesting architecture, and great views across the area. Lots of steps and little corners and temples. Well worth a visit.

Old palace and chedi set on top of a hill built by Rama 1V. Reached by cable car , beautiful temple and palace. Also monkeys running free. There are quite steep slopes and a lot of steps to negotiate once you're up there. It's about 45 minutes from Hua Hin. A tip -: if you're getting a private transfer between... More

The summer palace complex of Rama IV sits atop a number of hills and is accessed by funicular. The palace itself is very well presented with fine furnishings and porcelain on display. In addition, the views of the countryside from the palace terrace and the observatory are exceptional on a clear day. Also, the views of the temple complex on... More

Awesome scenery from top of the temple. Every corner of this place is pictorial with beautiful scenery, landscaping and historical buildings Food No food sold in this place... More
