A place that you can't skip in your trip to Phuket where you can enjoy taking great shots for the beautiful scene over there.

This is the southern most point of Phuket, but other than that it's not spectacular (at least not during daytime). There's a small market nearby.

OMG... words are hard to describe, just stand and keep looking at the sky and never ending sea and slowly the world turns to orange-red

It's a great view, don't get me wrong. But you have to pull over on the side of the road to see that view, there's no viewing platform. At least not that we could find. So even though it was gorgeous, it was a little...More

We had the fortune of watching a hang glider soaring from the cliffs of the Promthep Cape ~ Wow ~ There is also a huge look off ~ a nice little stream of shops for shopping ~ light snacks, sarongs, Thai souvenirs :)

If you are into sunsets like me, or even if you're not, you will appreciate the views at Promthep Cape. It is quite full, so not the serene type of sunset spot, but the views are worth it. There's even a slight breeze at the...More

What a nice setting, a park overlooking the water. After a nice climb up the stairs, you see a magnificent view of the harbor and beach.

Phromthep Cape is one of the high point of Phuket, and is on a cliff facing the Andaman Sea. It's quite a nice place to take pictures, and houses quite a few shops for snacks and souvenirs.

We were recommended by the front desk to visit this viewpoint, upon arrival, we saw many locals as well as tourists scattered all over the places. Some are walking their respective pet dogs while the others were busy snapping pictures. The sunset at most, would...More

Is is a good option to visit this point in October ? as it would be raining, and the clouds might not be so clear for a good sunset view.

October is the beginning of the NorthEast Monsoon. Rains will be heavier and if there are storms, they tend to be more protracted (may last several days at a stretch). With the current climate change, winds in this region... More

what is the best way to travel to Phrompthep Cape from Patong beach? I know this about 25 mins drive from there. Is it worth it to take a taxi (around how much will that cost?), Im only a beginner in driving scooter, is it safe and reommended for me to drive the scooter all the way up hill? Thanks a lot.

We just came back from there. We rented a scooter and drove there. The roads are good. Just use the GPS on your cell phone and you should be fine. Well worth the trip. If you go for the sunset it is a trade off as there... More
