Yes, the shop owners are desperate for tourist money, so they will bug you. But just nicely say "no thank you" and walk away. Going early in the morning is way better.

I guess I am used to the larger Medina’s in other cities in the Arab world. Walkable in about 1 hour. Shopkeepers are a bit pushy-just say no nicely and keep walking.

I haven’t stayed in that hotel , there are small busses on the road , it accommodates like 15 people max and they are cheap .but it was 4 of us ant taxis were more convenient for us rather than public transport
