There weren't many people around when I visited. In fact I was the only one. I wanted around the old rooms and gardens. It was fun imaging what it would be like living in such a house. There was a couple making out in the theater. I'd love to come back to see a show but none seem to be... More

In the early 20th century, Hammamet became the favourite haunt of artists, aristocrats and politicians including Winston Churchill, who worked on his memoirs here. This is largely due to George Sebastian, a Romanian millionaire who liked it so much that he decided to make it his home. He built a magnificent villa, now the International Cultural Centre set in a... More

This is a nice place to visit in Hammamet; the garden is very nice, the villa was built to reflect the Tunisian life style.

Do not miss month of culture! If you want to walk during the day in shade, if you want to relax by the pool and read a book and during the night the best place to hear artists from all arond the world. Down side is that sometimes concerts can be canceled...

We stayed in a hotel in the Yasmine district of Hammamet and it took about 15 minutes to get the no. 115 or 120 bus to the Villa. Entrance is 5 Dinar each. It was pretty empty when we arrived in the morning. The villa was exactly what's been described. Must visit the kitchen and the sunken bath for four.... More

This villa is a (fairly) well kept secret and it only costs a few dinars to visit. We had a personally guided tour and then were left to our own devices to have a look around the grounds which were extensive. I believe they extended right to the sea but we didn't walk that far. Yes, there's an air of... More

This place has historical connections with Rommel and Churchill but it is not a stately home by any means. The guide was friendly and made us fresh lemonade (from home grown lemons!) A bit pricely for what it is.

We had seen the reviews of this place on Tripadvisor so decided to visit. We weren't disappointed. The gardens, which are full of fruit trees, are a delight. And the house, though in need of some redecoration, is beautiful. There are great views out to sea too. An oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.
