About
The Tunektepe Teleferik, or Antalya Cable Car, is a must-do in the city, offering awesome panoramas of Antalya and the Mediterranean Sea. Over the nine-minute ride, you'll travel over 5,000 feet up to the top of Tunektepe. Other than the breathtaking views, you’ll also find a kid's playground, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop. It gets pretty busy, so get there in the morning to avoid the lines to purchase tickets. And children under a certain age can ride for free. The cable car ticket is often covered on tours of Antalya, which typically stops at other attractions like Duden Falls and Kursunlu Waterfall. – Tripadvisor

Having looked at the price disparities I was on the fence whether to bother given Turkish citizens pay pennies and foreigners pay a fair bit more. However me and s lips made out way there on the bus and gave it a go.
The prices for non-Turks was 10 and that was either GBP, Euros or USD, so pretty inconsistent conversions. We paid Lira and no price was advertised given they change prices in TL in this town as much as they change their socks and it worked out about 174TL each. The staff were so miserable and unfriendly, but we got to the top and the view was great.
Up the mountain there were a few reasonably priced cafes of the same stable, although again with very miserable staff who looked at you like they were doing you a favour giving you a beer you paid good money for. My advice is when you get to the top, walk round to the second cafe as it’s less crowded and there’s a better view. At this point it was all fairly nice and I’d have recommended it, despite the surly staff.
However, we went to go back down and there was only us two and two Turkish lads in front. The attendant asked them to get in the first cable car, but they wanted their own one so they more or less forced us into a cable car instead of them with a Russian family packed with them and they were none too impressed. By the time we realised it was too late and the cable car was off. There was no queue behind us and clearly if you’re a local you get preferential treatment here and pay a lot less (despite said lads wearing designer clobber yet we as tourists foot the bill to keep this tut running).
It was a nice trip and would be good value elsewhere, but the treatment of non locals here is appalling and the staff are pretty rude. Sadly in this town once your wallet is put away no one is interested. It feels like they’re happy to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs here and it’s quite a sad situation. If avoid here unless you’re local.

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and attraction. I drove to the location myself and had no problems/issues at all.
Once on the ride I realised it’s actually higher than I thought!
I purchased tickets from the attraction and it was cheaper than any site online. My advice is to do the same.
Adults 406tl
Children over 6 216tl
Children under 6 Free
However, there are a few things you need to note:
Take your own food and drink as the prices at the restaurant on top are expensive or buy them from the bottom.
The car park at the bottom charges you 35tl as it’s also a car park for the beach. If you wish to use public transport there are several bus routes that you can use.
There’s plenty of shops (cheap prices) for food, drinks, toys etc..
If you haven’t got a car

Drive with teleferic was excelent, well managed, disinfected. Arriving to the top, restaurant with short menu and out of this menu 50% was “sorry finished” English language would be too much to ask. Really poor location to spend more than 2 h in total.

Situated at the western end of Antalya (Konyaalti side) and very easily accessed by numerous bus routes from the city centre which all terminate 2 mins walk away from the Teleferik (cable car) entrance.
When you buy your ticket show your Turkish Residency permit to get a large discount off the normal price.
The views from the top are fantastic in all directions and well worth the trip. There are also toilets and a number of reasonably priced cafes at the top. A must see when visiting Antalya!

The ticket price is 10 US Dollar and they have a different price in TL each day :) All our 4 children do not a ticket - that was very nice surprise for us. There is no air-condition in the cabins as in Alanya, so it's quite hot inside and could be uncomfortable for people with heart or higher blood pressure problems.
The restaurant upside the hill is nice and the food and the ice-cream there are good and not overpriced.
The view is also very lovely

The cable car offers visitors a unique opportunity to ascend to the summit of Tünektepe Hill, providing panoramic views of Antalya and its beautiful coastline.
The highlight of the Tünektepe Teleferik Cable Car experience is undoubtedly the breathtaking scenery it offers. As the cable car ascends towards Tünektepe Hill, passengers are treated to mesmerizing views of the azure Mediterranean Sea, the picturesque cityscape of Antalya, and the surrounding mountains. The ride itself is an exhilarating journey through lush greenery, creating a sense of tranquillity and awe. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking to capture stunning photographs, the cable car ride provides an unparalleled vantage point to admire the beauty of Antalya.
The cabins are spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable ride for passengers. The staff members are friendly, and professional, and ensure that all safety measures are adhered to throughout the journey. I felt completely secure during the entire cable car ride.
Upon reaching the summit of Tünektepe Hill, visitors are rewarded with a mesmerizing 360-degree view of Antalya. The observation terrace offers ample space for visitors to stroll around, take in the breathtaking views, and capture memorable photographs. The clean and well-maintained facilities, including cafes and seating areas, provide a pleasant environment to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether you visit during the day or at sunset, the view from Tünektepe Hill is truly great.
The ticket prices are reasonable, especially considering this a tourist place. 1 thing that bothered us was the parking charges.
Parking Charges Disappointment:
Our experience was marred by the parking charges at the Tünektepe Teleferik. When we arrived at the parking lot, we paid the amount the lady asked. However, upon exiting the parking lot, we realized that the attendant had charged us three times the amount indicated on the charges displayed board. Discovering this discrepancy left us feeling frustrated and disheartened.
No one likes to be scammed.

Couldn't fault the cable car ride, was charged $15 for a 10 minute ride to the top. Before we got on the cable car we decided to have an ice cream next to the entrance, WHAT A RIP OFF, £19 for a small tub and a cone, no prices displayed and you only know when it's too late after they have rung it into the till (650TL is a discrase). This really soured the whole experience.

Ok cable car not pricey and parking was cheap too. No queues when we arrived at lunchtime and you literally pay and go up so no seating area around to loiter. Cable car fits 6 people each takes about 10mins. Lovely scenery as per pictures attached. Facilities and food bar/restaurant at the top as well as a tourist shop with lots of things (they took card only for a lollipop)! Slightly windy at the top nearly lost my hat! If you cant get to Olympos Teleferik then go here as a minimum.

The return trip by cable car is overpriced at €25 per person. The climb takes about ten minutes. Arriving at the top, the spectacle is magnificent, you overlook the whole city on both the sea and mountain sides, but make no mistake, it's a real tourist trap, everything is there to leave your wallet there. There's no way to even eat something decent there and for an unbeatable price. If you want a fried potato for €5, a souvenir photo for €20 and an inedible pizza for €15, you've come to the right place!

We took a taxi from old town and it cost us roughly 210 TL which is not bad as it is far out from main Antalya. Buying the tickets was straight forward too and it cost us 175 TL each. The weather was amazing and warm so we had an amazing views going up and coming down. Cafe on the top are decent for cold or hot drinks. Definitely worth experiencing this.

I will be staying in Lara Beach, where does the cable cart start from and where does it end?
Also, how long is the journey on the cable carts?
Thank you
