- RaeGarvieBrisbane, Australia120 contributionsGood to experience a Turkish BathMy first Turkish Bath experience, overall it was good, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Started off storing valuables in a locked safe, clothes in a locker then wrap yourself in a towel. You go into the bath area which looks good, then lay on a big warm stone slab in the warm room, with a towel covering you. The attendant starts pouring buckets of very warm water over the towel on your body, then proceeds to scrub your body with a handmit, moving the towel as necessary. After the scrub, you are then covered in a sudsy soapy liquid a bit like bubble bath, this is massaged into your body then rinsed off with water buckets. At the end you get your hair washed, towels wrapped around you and given a glass of water while you rest in the waiting area. I paid extra for a foot massage which was nice. I was expecting a steam or sauna prior to the ‘bath’ and it is quite a bit more expensive than others I’ve looked at which seem to include more than these people are giving. Overall it was good and the staff were friendly and professional. I plan to visit another 1 or 2 while in Antalya so will do reviews for those. Total cost was 900 lira (41 euro)Visited April 2023Travelled soloWritten 15 April 2023

- Lorraine C11 contributionsTraditional Turkish hamam at its bestThere’s something special about going to a hamam that looks like it did centuries ago. After my husband and I received the treatment, we understand why they have been in business for many centuries. This was husband’s first experience with any type of spa and he is now a fan. A couple of notes. It is a 600 year old place so don’t expect a resort spa and it is cash only. Coming from California, I think the price for everything you receive, including the sauna, bathing, scrubbing, and massage, and the moisturizing is completely worth it. I California you’d pay at least twice as much for half the service,Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 October 2023

If you want to have a unique experience; visiting Sefa Hamam is a most.
We took the full package that included the turkish bath and the oil massage and it was just perfect... the service, the environment and the experience itself.

We booked the Sefe Hammam as we wanted to find an authentic Turkish bath experience and we were not disappointed.
We were greeted and shown to our dressing room to change which has a lock for safety of your belongings.
Our experience consisted of steam room, body scrub and soap massage followed by a break for some apple tea and fresh fruit. Then we had oil massage for the whole body.
All the treatments were exceptionally and expertly done.
We both left feeling amazing.

A very nice Hamam (the only one I've been to actually). You go in and there is a private changing room where you can lock your personal belongings away in. The staff are very professional, and the post-hamam snacks and tea are very relaxing. We met a very knowledgable and friendly member of staff called Anita, who even gave us a bit of history about the area while we had our tea. Strongly recommend this place!

As description says it is not “luxurious”. But! If you want authentic experience of real Hamam this is it. Staff is really friendly, experienced and even joke around while giving strong but pleasureful massage. The building is another point why you may want to consider going there. While I was laying on a hot stone after steam room waiting for massage and looking up at the ceiling couldn’t stop thinking how cool is that this building was there 600 years and hopefully will be there long after my time. If I visit Antalya again this place definitely will be one of my stops.

we enjoyed a great, relaxing and pleasant hamam. Well if you are not aware of what a traditional hamam is and you normally enjoy sauna & massage, well this is the place to go. Moreover it is a historical place 600 years old located in ghe old town of Antalya. Suggestion take the privat hamam for two and in more than 90 minutes you will be treated like a king or queen. Best choice late afternoon and after enjoy a dinner in the old town. Unforgetable experience

A single woman travelling to Antalya. A visit to an authentic humam on the top of my list to rid my body of old skin so I can achieve a perfect tan. This is the place. I give Sefa a 5 star rating. Friendly efficient receptionist who made me feel very welcome. Lots of time laying around on hot beds in a 600 year old building, authentic and exquisite. Then the humam washing and peeling. Ali undertook this task perfectly. The staff are only men and I felt safe, comfortable and respected and would definitely recommend women to go. This was followed by a wonderful massage, unhurried and relaxing. Sefa is in the old town so great to wander around the lines afterwards. I was also offered Turkish tea before and during and fruit. Totally recommend to everyone. My skin feels amazing

Hi,
First you should come to city centre from your hotel. Then go to ÜÇKAPILAR / HADRIAN GATE. It is just 5 min. walking way from there. You can ask anybody in the pensions there. They will help you to direct you.
No need for appointment.
Enjoy.
