Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its nice place: Kaleici old town. Mermerli beach is small and cute. We wanted to go by boat to see Duden waterfalls. The turkish man promised to show it to us and what we saw is just short boat tour just to nowhere. Dont get any tours or trips from turkish men. Its all about cheating and stealing your money. Just take bus and see all the sightseeing by urself!

Fortress is a far too big word for this.In fact there are only a few remains of some stone walls, concentrated mainly in the old port area.Otherwise,a very nice area, with old houses and narrow paved streets.

The fortress forms part of the Kaleici district. There is no standalone part. You will see the part of fort walls and ramparts as you walk around the Kaleici area. The view of overall fort is best from the marina. There is no entrance ticket.

Kind of cool but lacking any organized historical/educational material so it's experienced as "just an old fortress." Great park all around it. The adjacent area and park make this worth the visit!
