The historical site of Perge, 18 kilometers east of Turkey, holds the vast remains of what was once the most propserous city of the ancient world. Enter by passing through the arch of the Roman Gate to be greeted by an amphitheater, the Hellenistic Gate (quite well preserved) and richly decorated remains of the city wall and much more.

Spend at least two hours here walking around and try to imagine how the edifices looked when not in ruins. Quite a few columns are raised on new bases which makes this easier.

I went there with my wife as a tour package. It was a great trip and one of the must see things in Antalya. It shows the rich culture and history of Ottoman Empire and influence of greek culture in Ottoman Empire. There are lots of shops selling souvenirs and seafood restaurants in the area.

You need minimum of 3 hours here if you like ancient historic places. Every spot of the city is worth to know about and taking pictures. The better wide knowledge tour guide, the more exciting experience you will get. Be careful of you people trying to sell you fake coins.

If you love history then you would love to walk in these ruins . Not proper guides would you find in this place but a stroll is definitely worth it . It's not one of the top sites to see but an off beaten place with so much of history . If you have time at hand while visiting Antalaya... More

As it was a huge site it took a couple of hours for us to explore the whole area. It was a highlight of our trip to Antalya and I would highly recommend it.

Even though Turkey has a lot of ruins, these are some of the best preserved. You can still identify most of the places without the need of a guide. This is a must!

Perge means the half of Antalya Museum. Therefore these two trips should be combined at first or a museum should be constructed in/or nearby Perge. Perge, Expo 2016, Sillyum and Aspendos sites are the parts of a daily excursion destination. Perge and Expo 2016 is very close to center and also airport via new train approach. But from Aksu stop... This place is absolutely amazingly well preserved! I didn't expect that. Definitely worth visiting. City with a market place, sauna, waterfalls and so on. Dress warmly ( hat and scarf!) in winter time. Windy and cold in the mornings.
