Booked the Quad Safari and process was easy with no issues. Very quick with email confirmation and where they will pick you up. Whatsapp contact available which is appreciated. Would recommend if you are booking excursions. Unsure what company the quad safari was however they also deserve 5 stars and had a brilliant day out. Thank you

Hello, Thanks for your review. You know very well that you tortured us and our other customers while going to the Tour and returning to the hotel. This company is a 21-year-old agency. We will not close this company and continue to sell tours. If you are sincere, you should mention the tour you attended, and you should write one by one what disrespect we did to you. Although the tour and transfer is not a private organization for you, although it is a group tour, you tried to turn off the air conditioner in 50 degrees hot weather by terrorizing the tour vehicle. You disturbed the peace of all our other customers. Why don't you talk about the tour you took? You have disturbed the peace of all our other customers who were in the tour vehicle with you, you have disrespectfully terrorized the atmosphere of peace. We did you no harm, we tried to give you a tour service, and we did. Nobody is perfect, but we didn't do anything bad to you. Very disrespectful to us, and you treated us as if we were your slaves. We hope we will never come across a customer who has no respect for people and service like you. Sincerely Yours,

On the 4th of April I booked the Fish Owl boat tour and 2 days of the Taurus birding tour for 2 people using Vigo’s website. The tours were to happen on the 28-29 and the booking went smoothly. Özcan agreed to pic us at the hotel at Side and told me the odds of seeing the owls at the lake were at least 90% while the alternative of looking for them at night were about 60%. The night prior to our tour Özcan told me through Whatsapp he had checked the two spots at the lake and the owls were not there and proposed we changed the programme. So, Özcan met us at the agreed time and we went birding first at the eBird hotspot Manavgat Nehir Ağzı (a 100 m strip of dense bushes and trees surrounded by watermelon fields) then at the mountains taking the road from Akseki up to the mountain valley at 1,800m. At Akseki he stopped to show the stump of a recently cut tree he said was the spot to see wodpeckers there and remarked Olive-tree Warbler (one of my main targets) and White-throated Robin nested around the village. Both me and my wife understood that was the place to see them. We had great birding totalling 82 species from coastal to alpine species (from Yellow-legged Gull to Crimson-winged Finch) and Özcan was kind enough to bring homemade snacks, cheese, etc for us to eat on the way. Because of the pandemic most restaurants and cafes were either closed or working on a takeaway basis. Özcan wears a hearing device and this impairment coupled with his style of taking pictures of all birds we met caused some discomfort. Besides not registering the beeping made by the car as he drove with an unbuckled seat belt (or us pointing at that), he would park by a bird and start shooting without checking if I (besides him) had a clear view or not. And start moving again without checking if my wife (in the back seat) had finished with her pics even if she was telling him to stop. Several times when we were walking – he marching ahead of us - we had to yell at him to stop as he was to flush a bird (like Crimson-winged Finch) we had detected but he had not. At the end the feeling was he cared more about the pictures he wanted to take than us having a good view of the birds and good pics ourselves. After finishing the day birds we drove straight (no stop at Akseki for the Olive-tree Warbler) to a Fish Owl spot by a trout farm. The approach was to spotlight around (no playback) and resulted in no owls. So we drove back stopping at the nearby village to call (playback this time) Scops Owls. These landed next to us and I was taking pictures when Özcan pushed me the torch he was holding so he could take pics himself. I was not done yet and had to tell him in an angry voice to remember who the clients were and the guide was. After I was done I used my own torch so he could get his pictures. With no Fish Owls seen we decided the programme the next day would be to carry on with the boat tour despite no owls being seen in the lake for weeks (the info had finnaly transpired), go for the Olive-tree Warbler and finish the tour at the airport for us to organise our PCR test before departure. The mood had been soured by my reprimand to him and this suffered further when, driving back to Side, Özcan run over a wild boar damaging the car he had rented. We reached Side by midnight and at 5:30 am were again at the front of our hotel waiting. After a bit we were to the way to the Oymapınar Barajı lake, took the boat and, despite searching a lot, got no owls. Sometimes you get them, sometimes we don’t. From there we drove back to Side to replace the damaged car at the rental and there was a spirited discussion as, we knew later, the insurance Özcan got didn’t cover the damage caused by him hitting the boar. From there we went back to the Manavgat Nehir Ağzı. While we were looking for birds Özcan kept typing his phone so we were on our own while walking around the area. That done he announced we were heading to the airport. It was 10:30 (we had asked to be at the airport at 16:00) and I asked about trying for the Olive-tree Warbler at Akseki. His answer was we had just tried for it and were not to go to Akseki, while I retorted he had said a very different thing the previous day and I expect him to pay more attention to the tour I had paid him to guide than to him taking pictures and meddling with Whatsapp. Özcan started to shout saying he had been doing his best, he has been a guide for over 10 years, had not gone home that night so he could meet us on time, the money from the tour would not cover the damage to the car and I should be ashamed, etc, etc. Having birded with guides in >50 countries this was the first time I got in a shouting match and, seeing no point in continuing, declatred the tour was over and requested we be taken to the airport at once. This was done, I paid the airport transfer and we went our ways. I put a not trivial amount into a short birding tour that produced a nice list, although we failed finding the main target. I am absolutely fine with that because this is part of what birding is. Özcan does know his area and birds and he was punctual and kind to provide the snacks we asked for BUT all too often he behaves as the tour was carried for his pleasure and not for his clients. And he behaviour at the end was plainly deplorable. Next time I come to the area it will be best to bird on our own (renting a car and studying eBird lists are easy enough) and make direct arrangements with the boat operators at the lake as the owls are well known to them.

Hello, Thanks for your review. Our bird watching guide has been collaborating with us for about 8 years. He's not perfect, but he loves his job. You seem to be happy with the number and species of birds you observed. The unseen bird species were those that had not yet migrated. Your bird watching guide wanted to inform you about this, but he got a harsh reaction that he did not expect. Olive Tree warbler and White Throated robin are birds that have not yet arrived in the region at the time of your bird watching tour. Both species were seen in the bird watching tours we organized with the same bird watching guide 2 weeks after you. For very simple and clear details, we received information that you were mobbing your bird watching guide, and this upset us very much. Scops owl issue: scops owl was not in the program we agreed with you, and we did not charge you an extra fee for it. Please remember the watching time of scops owl. It's about your guide taking pictures of the birds: this is the first time we've seen such a negative reaction. With the support of our bird watching guide, you must have taken photos of all the birds you see. We kindly ask you to reconsider and evaluate how much work your bird watching guide spends for you during the 2 days. Finally: We would like to inform you that bird watching without a authorised guide is not allowed in the region according to the law. Sincerely Yours,
