Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Side has such an interesting history and the museum has great exhibits such as Athena and Nike. Its only small but well worth a visit and its entry fee is very good value for money. We really enjoyed our visit. Make sure you purchase a twin ticket for the museum and amphitheatre. Both were wonderful!

This museum is centred on the Roman influence on the town of Side.
I enjoyed it. So many museums are (I’m sorry) painfully long.
This museum has a small presentation that captures the essence of Roman influence, but doesn’t filter into boredom.

This place was small but it was great to see the artifacts and statues of lost buildings around Side. It was great to learn about the history and learn more about the amphitheatre that wasn't present upon our visit over there. It was a great place, but I would have liked to see more exhibits.
The staff let it down though. When getting our tickets, the ticket agent was more bothered about laughing and joking with security while on their phone than to listen to us. We asked for 3 tickets, but was only charged for 2 and given 2 tickets. We had to go back and get a third. Then the gift shop, we got 3 drinks and 1 book souvenir which should have cost us 660 lira, but the staff charged us 750 lira which we only realised about the over charge once we got back to the hotel.
It's a good experience but double check you're being charged correctly.

Very interesting open-air excavation site. You can still clearly see from the ruins how life was lived then.
The trip is very worthwhile if you are interested in the Ancient Roman Empire, but I find 17€ as admission a bit too high.
In addition, as a tourist you should know that you can only pay by credit card or in lira.
WARNING also about the brash employee who first pretends to be a tour guide and shows you hidden places to beg for tips in a not nice way.
We were really a little scared.
Apart from this experience, the place was on the whole really worth seeing.

Inside the museum, a set of bronze objects, weapons, coins, statuettes... a sarcophagus from the 2nd century, lid decorated with lion heads and a medusa head on the facade. The perimeter is decorated with statutes of Eros. In this room, beautiful antique statutes. The museum is housed in the city's ancient thermal baths dating from the 5th century AD.
Take the combined ticket to also visit the Roman amphitheater for 350Tl
To do without hesitation.

The amphitheatre belongs to the museum and admission costs 17 euros per person. Before the theatre you could only pay by lire or credit card.
If you've never seen anything like this, it might be worth seeing.

While on vacation in Side, we visited the archaeological museum and did not regret it. Interesting exhibits are also located in the open air, not only under the sun, but also in the shade of trees, saving you from the heat. This is a big plus when visiting the museum. The exhibition presents archaeological finds of the city. In addition to the open area, there are also “covered” halls, where sculptures, sarcophagi, amphorae, collections of coins, jewelry, and various utensils are displayed. Tickets are available only for visiting the museum and are available for visiting the Side Amphitheater. We took the second option and were pleased. This is a majestic building, it is impossible to describe the delight of what you saw, you must visit it and feel it...

Side Museum is worth seeing and good value for money.
Everything seems clearly catalogued. Part of the baths (hamam) have been utilised to display statues and it is very well presented. Most of the display is outdoors in the gardens. The small niche in the outdoor garden to sit gazing at the ocean is a welcome break on hot days! I was only disappointed that the Atelier section was closed off when I visited in June, as I would have liked to see some of the gold coins.
Most fascinating part of the collection for me was the display of petite iron-cast and glass oil Lamps (kandiller). I enjoy those little functional ornaments.

Excellent value for money. We paid 50 Turkish lira each. The museum is well laid out. Small but compact. Nicely arranged and air conditioned. The shop inside is small and there should be some dispenser units for drinking water etc.
All in all great place to visit. The road to museum itself is amazing and full of archaeological sites.

It is located in an ancient bath building (Agora Bath) in the Manavgat District, Side District, Side Ancient City, which dates back to the 2nd Century AD and dates back to the cycle with additions and changes in the 5th and 6th Centuries AD. The Hammam was restored by covering three sections by the Master Architect Ragıp-Selma DEVREZ couple between 1959 and 1961, and was opened as a museum in 1962. Recreation Halls 2 (Sudatorium), 3 (Caldarium) and 4 (Tepidarium), which were covered due to the repair of the Bath, are closed; Halls 1 (Frigidarium) and 5 (Tepidarium) and the Courtyard Sections are arranged as Open Exhibition Halls. The Museum Enclosure, which was once a part of the Gymnasium, contains tomb inscriptions, inscriptions from the Seljuk Period, Friezes, Sarcophagi, Column Bases and Columns, Mosaic Pieces, Busts and Statues from the Roman Period. If you proceed from the Museum Entrance and turn right into the Garden, you will reach the Exhibition Halls. Here, you first encounter shadow reliefs, an open-topped hall with a basalt column head from the Late Hittite Period in the middle, and a very beautiful pool. It is estimated that statues of emperors and gods once decorated the niches of the pool. There is also a Roman Sundial in the middle of the pool. Glass Works, Coins, Lamps, Figurines, Jewelry, Ornaments, Sarcophagi and Statues are Exhibited in the Covered Halls of the Museum. The Three Graces Statue, Symbolizing Beauty, Elegance and Fertility, Dated to the 2nd Century AD, is One of the Most Rare Works of Side Museum. Three Beauties, Specialized as Hera, Aphrodite and Athena, dazzle with their elegance and power in the Museum Hall.

I found this info doing a google search should you still need such information:

Most of the ruins at Side, including Side Antique Theatre are open daily from 8am-5pm all year round.
