July -2015 We forgot to change our 50 euro before entering the market. Our tips to visitors is to never show your money, no mattet what. I know Turkish salesmen are ongoing, but thees were ekstreme. They tricked us, and never gave back our change... all the store had the same, so walk trough the hole thing before buying anything!

Bought some 'Zultanite', a rare gemstone, at reasonable price but not so low as to excite suspicion. Appraised in the UK for insurance. It is coloured glass. He should be locked up.

Lot of shops selling fake and cheap shirts and shoes. The shop owners are verry unpleasant trying to get you in to there shop. Absolutely not worth the time.

My family and I really like Kusadasi town and the market is a stone throw from the sea front. If you're looking for "genuine fakes" of all the popular brand names this is the place for you - however with so many of the shops spilling out onto the streets there's much competition and the vendors stand or sit outside... I spend all day looking for something to worth but unfortunately I didn't find nothing except of stores to buy clothes and leather jackets. To be honest if you are the kind of people that love to shop this your place. Have money and lot of courage to bargain.

Bought (stupidly) some jewellery at Benny's. They claimed it was Zultanite and charged accordingly. Eventually we had it tested in the UK. It was coloured glass! The leather goods were highly priced and shoddy. Complete RIPOFF. Stick to buying cheap tourist tat.

I found the market very pleasurable as a lot of the hassling has gone and I could browse at leisure. Bought a lot of presents and was happy with my puchases

This is not a large or spectacular market like many others you may experience within Turkey, or even other countries, nor is it a place to shop for too long. Shop after shop, there is an abundance of similar or identical products for sale. Some merchants try and entice you into their stores, but just keep walking. If you prefer... More

I actually dreaded visiting the market because of the hassle you get but it actually wasn't too bad. The usual clothing handbags and some good bargains. Worth a visit.
