Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Big market in Kusadasi to spend a few hours between pushy people trying to sell you something calling you, greeting you. You can't relax and look around without the pressure of the shop owners so it as very stressful. If you like brands, this place and these markets sell only fakes. It's a place to go but not my favourite.

My wife and I did some shopping in the market at Kusadasi after touring Ephesus. We were told that our ship was the first cruise ship to dock for an excursion in Kusadasi since the Covid-19 Pandemic. In any event, the merchants were ready and willing to bargain. We bought a rug, which was shipped to us a month or so after we returned home. It was delivered to us and was too small for the area we planned to place it in. Naturally, the delivery guy had a larger rug in his truck that matched the colors in our foyer, so we bought another one. Also, before leaving the shops, a merchant made my wife a better price on a leather jacket that she was bargaining with him over and she bought it. Although we didn’t intend on buying anything, we ended up spending nearly as much on the rugs and jacket as we spent on our cruise.

Good luck finding any genuine clothes in kusadasi , just shop after shop selling the same fake brands. Quality varies but if you know the quality of a genuine Ralph Lauren polo then being asked to pay £20 for a poor imitation that you could buy for £5 on eBay back home doesn’t appeal. Quite how all these shops survive is a mystery as there is no difference between them . Turkish clothes are generally much cheaper and better quality so there are bargains there but the Turks seem to think we all want fake tat so fill their shops with that.

The Market has everything your looking for, but some places like pharmacy and some shops are very polite and some are. Be extremely aware of the taxi drivers...they like to over charge and use a flat rate instead of meters. They rather set there an talk to there friends, or smoke then drive you.

We were told the Wednesday market is a must for fake designer labels and more. We got there for 8.30am (apparently open from sunrise to sunset). It was definitely an experience. Be prepared to be jumped on/hassled to buy their items. Just one eye glimpse and they are on you! Tbh we did get some good bargains. Some items were better quality than in the shops in town. If you are buying more than one item, please check the sizes before they are thrown in a bag. We came away with two T-shirts in the wrong size.
If you suffer with anxiety do not go. Your anxiety levels will be through the roof!
If you like to haggle this is the place for you. Plenty of taxis waiting to take you back to your hotel or there is a bus stop right outside. Plenty of bargains to be had if your strong enough!

As soon as you step off the ship, you are greeted by the bazaar. They have everything from fridge magnets to jewellery to massive rugs. The shop owners do talk to you, but they don't hassle you to enter their shop. We found some lovely linen dresses, and other people bought amazing jewellery. From here, you can walk along the sea walls or venture further into the city to the next, more local bazaar

Great shopping but way to much hastle. Been to turkey 10/12 times over the years and never been hastled so much. It actually stopped us spending money. By us not wanting to shop meant we didn't go into town meaning we also never went to the restaurants there meaning more money not spent.
Side resort is so much calmer and less hastle. Get a grip shop owners and calm down. Also remember that with covid 19,we to have lost a lot of money and are feeling the pressure.

Know what you want to buy in terms of clothes, don’t bother with jewellery or bags as better ones on town. You are buying fakes of various quality so don’t buy as you go in the door highest prices. Second floor jumbles are good value, I hate haggling so generally go with a primark type price in mind for poor quality and m&s for really good quality fakes, then walk away if I can’t get a deal and they normally follow and give in.

I just received my large rug and it has stains on it. It was not the rug I saw in the showroom. The rug was opened up in front of the deliver person so he saw it also. I tried to go to their website to complain, but my computer said it was not secure. I would not buy from them again.

It is a bargaining market. If you aren't good at negotiating prices and know the actual quality of what you are buying -- stay away.
However, everyone was very friendly. My husband is handicapped and was offered a chair outside one of the stores and enjoyed conversation with the shop owners while I browsed.

We were worried we would have to have Turkish money, but found most shops happy to take Euro, I bought some jewellery in one shop, seeing it was our last stop and short on euro, he happily took my Australian dollars, which was great for me, knowing exactly what I paid for goods, only problem wish I had more time and there.
