Contacted Numan Atak over the internet after a last minute foul up by our travel agent in UK. He arranged a flight at 24 hours notice and saved the trip from disaster.. superb service and calm efficiency in hours before our Turkish airlines flight to Capadoccia .. star man..!

My husband and I spent a month in Turkey this winter- we are so glad to have flown from Istanbul to Nevsihir and took a tour to the Fairy Chimneys!
The weather was perfect no wind so we were fortunate enough to fly! We arrived by bus to the balloon site and as I approached the large wicker basket to climb in - I realized I wasn’t able to climb in! Suddenly 2 men lifted me quickly but gently and tossed me into the basket where my husband caught me!
My first flight! We had a short lesson by the “pilots” before take off who explained the stance we were to take for landing! Then slowly and oh so quietly we lifted up! Higher and higher we rose ( there were about 20 people in the balloon) and this experience for us all was Simply Magical! The silence of rising up gave the feeling of being weightless and was just breathtaking and indescribable- the pilots were wonderful careful and the ride lasted over an hour - time stood still - we took pictures and there was a video created by the company which we purchased for a reasonable price- I recommend this trip ! Enjoy! Life is short!

We visited Goreme in second week of April 2019 through the hotel. It was the one the best exilirating experience in our life. Unforgettable moments that we will cherish forever. Bit pricey but worth it. One should not miss if visiting Turkey. Flights were cancelled previous last five days because of windy and rainy weather but we were lucky to get the chance. We went through the hotel who booked through Flintstone Travels. They are great and were very well looked after.

When we decided to travel to Turkey, I started enquiring at various websites, out of first few enquiries I made, Numan from Cappadocia Balloon Flights (Turtle Tours) was the first person to respond. The itinerary he planned for us was interesting and he was kind enough to accommodate changes/suggestions we made before finalising the tour plan.
We stayed in Cappadocia for 2 days, all arrangements including tours, food and transportations were excellent. We enjoyed our stay at Cappadocia.

Highly recommend doing this, I am scared of heights, but you don’t even know you are floating along the best way to see the moon scape of this beautiful country.
The only thing it’s a bit hard to get in and out of the balloon for a older persons, they do use a ladder getting in.

I had a magical experience of Turkey - my tour kicked off in Cappadocia. I got a double tick on my bucketlist 1) staying in a cave hotel 2) hot air balloon ride
If you check my Instagram account you'd see that almost 30% of my posts are of sunrises and sunsets. My best sunrise viewing has been at 6000ft above sea level in a hot air balloon in Goereme, Cappadocia.
Initially I was all game to watch the hot air balloons from a rooftop but decided 'why not' be in the sky looking down at the roof tops. When I signed the security release form I admit to having some doubts but this was quickly pushed aside as we made ready to go to the balloon site.
20 people to a basket, but every single one was as amazed as I was as we went higher and higher. We got to see fairy chimneys, Love Valley (all seen previously on foot) and even a bridal party for their early morning wedding photo shoot.
I dressed warm expecting very cold temperatures, however it was cool but still pleasant.
The hot air balloon operator was very skilled and took us down to the valley floor and back up with ease.
Our ride ended with refreshments upon a hill top and mini certificate award presentation.
It was magical and worth every cent.

A trip to Cappadocia is incomplete without a balloon flight experience. Yes, I hated the early morning adventure but it is something truly unique. Though I must admit after 15-20 minutes it gets a little monitonous. However, this flight is a photographer's dream come true.

Breathtaking, not to be missed, once in a lifetime experience! The 4:30 AM call time was a bit much for me but I’ve been grudgingly did it and well, it was amazing! The beauty of the balloons as they fill with hot air in the color that swells to fill the sky is spectacular. Over 100 balloons all coordinated to takeoff and move to catch the sunrise is magical and creates the perfect picture moment.

Is it really cold in the balloon ? What is best to wear ? TIA ,Jean
Written 2 September 2019
In the basket itself it is not cold. Depending on where and when you are flying, it may be cool when you gather and before the flight, but once you are aloft it is OK. As a balloon pilot myself, trust me. Tiit 335152
