So beautiful and excellent ways to get away from the tour groups. Try hiking from Rose Valley to Cavusin.

We got totally lost as locals have written dodgy signs all about the place. Could do with a re haul to make it more tourist friendly. Still a nice walk and beautiful area!

We walked from Goreme to Red Valley & carried on through Rose Valley before catching a dolmas back to Goreme from Cavusin. For us this was our favourite walk in the Goreme area & lasted about 3 hours & there are plenty of little cafes...More

It is highly recommend to walking enthusiasts who can spare at least a couple of hours. The easiest trail takes about 2-3 hours and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Goreme. One could have a picnic here amid great views and unique...More

The manager at our cave hotel in Goreme offered to take us on a sunset hike here. The landscape is stunning and the cave churches tucked away in the cliffs are fascinating. The hike was vigorous but not too strenuous. Best of all, there's a...More

Just stunning. We accessed this trail from a round about way, but once we were on the legit trail, it was lovely.

Amazing place. I suggest taking first a ballon flight for the sunrise and a 3 hrs trekking for the sunset.

It's a really easy hike (more like a stroll) requiring little planning as there are decent maps and plenty of refreshments offered along the way. I would do it either morning or better yet, later afternoon for added color

Our hotel left us off at the start of red valley which turns to rose valley. We liked red valley more, though a steep descent at first. Gorgeous views. Rose valley much more open, less 'adventure'. Enjoyable outdoor experience. Wear proper footwear. A few stops...More

We were there in April this year and did a two hour walk through Rose Valley on our own. We did not need a guide and it was absolutely beautiful. There were other walkers we passed and I did not notice any guides with them... More

Urgurp and Goreme are simply two different towns in Cappadocia. I personally slept in Goreme and went to the so called Red Tour (bus tour with guide) and one of the stops are in Urgurp. I think the best places to sleep when... More
