This imposing mountain and former volcano is now a resort area used for skiing and other winter sports. In summer, mountaineers generally attempt climbs from June through September, before the snows arrive at the higher elevations.

We have visited Mount Erciyes during our holiday in Kayseri. I propose everyone to at least visit and see the very nice view of mountain and the city. Place is very crowded in weekends. Try to go within the week.

Possibly yes. When I was there in May, in many gorges the snow was still extending from the top to about 2500 metres.. Of course it was not suitable for skiing, but the sight was impressive. Have a good vacation.
