Big imposing mosque, easy to visit. Rare and locally traditional wooden dovetailed roof over the mihrab area. Interesting models inside including a very detailed model of Jerusalem made with earth from the Al Aqsa site according to the label.

No decoration grey solid walls. Layout reminiscent of mescit in Cordoba. Really lends itself to quiet meditation.

If you are interested in visiting a mosque and have never done so, this one is worth seeing. Not the best in Turkey, but probably the best in Erzurum.
