... probably has the warmest waters in Turkey at any given time. This is due to the hot springs in and around Cesme.

We went for a swim around 9am, it was quiet but looked to be getting busy by mid day. The sand was fine and the water was still and very clear. The water was shallow for a long way out making it safe for children and non swimmers

When youngo out from the bus first beach you will see is public. Thatb part of Ilica beach is public and you should bring your own sunbeds and parasol. It is windy beach and there is no restaurants near this place. When you go further you will find private beaches. For some of them you have to pay entrance fee 400tl, and for some you have to spend extra 700tl per person while you are there..
My recommendation is Boyalik beach caffe where you can get for 100tl sunbed and parasol. There is restaurant where you can eat and drink and prices are fine. Service is excellent and peaple are very friendly.

Ilıca is a holiday destination located in the Çeşme district of Izmir, Turkey. Its name comes from the thermal springs along its coast, which have led to the development of specific thermal facilities in the area. Ilıca is known for its famous beach with fine sand, crystal-clear waters, and ideal conditions for windsurfing. Additionally, it's popular for its healing thermal waters.
Ilıca is an attractive destination for both local and international tourists. During the day, you can spend time at the beach, engage in windsurfing, or relax at the thermal facilities. In the evenings, you can enjoy delicious Aegean cuisine at the restaurants along the coastline.
Personally, I believe Ilıca is a wonderful choice for those seeking a relaxing holiday with its natural beauty, beaches, and thermal facilities.

The place has a unique sea and beach, I wonder if the municipality does not knowingly serve, dressing cabins are in a ridiculous situation, cleanliness and hygiene zero (0) one's door broke !! a person should stand as a guard at the door while changing your top, 2 sunbeds 1 umbrella on the beach 600 TL !! a bit of humility yahuuu ..

This could be a paradise. However, the public beach was absolutely loaded with cigarette butts, everywhere. I did go swimming & once in the water it was perfect, soft sand, clear water & warm. Don’t understand. I was situated near a group of mature women & observed at least one burying her butts instead of disposing them properly, Plenty of families. Kids must make castles out of ciggie butts instead of sand. Other trash & food left also. I’m going to try private beach clubs instead.

Ilica beach is a terrific long beach on the northern part of Cesme peninsula. It's very popular with locals so it might get crowded.
Fine white sand stretches for miles with both free and private parts belonging to hotels. Water's warm and really pleasant to swim in. Many water sports with reasonable prices. In side streets are several shops, eateries and restaurants.

This beach was beautiful on the day we visited in June. The shades of blue and green in the water were breathtaking. The water was shallow for so far out, it was relatively warm and easy to relax in. Very salty, but easy to float! We did rent three chairs and an umbrella for 300 TL, but no charge for the beach itself. And it was not too crowded late morning on a Monday.

Great beach, we've been impressed by the organisation of places for towels and umbrellas (I think due to covid measures), but that was great. No more people jumping on you or staying too close. Water is perfect, very high temperature compared with other seas, but I was bitten by a jellyfish. 100 people around me in the water, playing, enyoying, swimming, and I was the "lucky" one.

On July 2nd, as we made our way to the water, we couldn't help but notice the lively atmosphere - families, children, and even dogs were all enjoying themselves, swimming and playing in the sea.
We spent a considerable amount of time at the beach, relishing the opportunity to swim and sunbathe. The cheerful ambiance and beautiful surroundings made our time at Ilica Beach truly memorable.
There are some separate showers provided for men and women as well as the gender-specific changing rooms. The showers are primarily meant for rinsing off sand, so the use of shampoo or soap is not allowed.

This reminds the big beaches of great places right next to you in Cesme. It is mostly enjoyable with big waves but time to time you can also enjoy it so quite with no waves for a great swimming. It is all sand and does not go deep so quickly. It is a great place for family.
