Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I loved Ephesus! . Seeing the ancient ruins, looking at the beautiful countryside and in my minds eye watching tbe citizens of Ephesus go about their daily business. A visit to this place will take you to another time, life and world!

It must have been a sight in those days to see the fountain, the market, the vendors and the opulent street. They were visionaries. To see the library, the buildings - apartments with mosaic, paintings in the area.

Trajan, one of the intelligents Roman emperors who reigned in late 1st and early 2nd centuries AD, has been all over the Roman empire and the inhabitants of different nations made temples for him but Ephesians constructed a monumental fountain like Trevi in Ephesus for the emperor Trajan. Beginning with Augustos, Roman emperors became divine ceasars and worshipped as Gods by the Roman citizens. The Roman emperor who wanted to be worshipped had to provide three things free to the inhabitants ; free meat, free home and free water so some famous Roman ceasars like Trajan had the fountains built. The Trajan fountain in Ephesus was completed in the beginning of 2nd century and began delivering the free water to public everyday but the rich merchants living in slope houses just oppoite the fountain had to pay to the city treasury. The fountain was restored in 1970s and it is one of the restored monuments in Ephesus town. The most striking thing in the fountain was emperor’s statue which was three times taller than a normal human size. Emperor Trajan was stepping on globe figure representing the earth was round and he was the ruler of the universe so he was considered as Lord.
