Mom and I visited Kars and the Citadel was situated right above our hotel ( Hotel Katerina). It provides a great panoramic view of the city but we really wished that it was better cared for. It broke my heart to see the graffiti and trash. The citadel desperately needs few people to regularly patrol the area. …

Good castle but without explanation panels. Great view of Kars city from there. I takes 30 minutes to visit it. A must do in Kars.
