Cnidus (or Knidos) has been an important and rich city around 200 BC, and the place where the famous nude Venus from Praxiteles could be seen. At the western tip of the Datça peninsula, the archaeological site of Knidos requires some effort to visit. But for those who want to see where the first monumental female nude in classical sculpture was displayed, it is worth it.

Have sailed there several times in a small boat, anchoring when the weather permitted - though it's often windy. Two Roman harbours, one military one commercial. Need time to wander around as things are not as prominent as at some other sites.

i love to see historical places then i like it very much . it is my type. but it is better to visit pri,vet hire driver. tours are really annosing. and sloe. taxi fast quik and i dont lose time. in a day i can see all historical sightseeing common cultures grrek and Ottoman
