The main facade of a brick building in the style of national romanticism of the beginning of the last century has an attractive appearance (but interiors are forbidden - state institutions)

If you visit Poltava you should see this building! Almost all Poltava is built in clasicism style, so this building looks really unique! That giant birds with women heads make you feel like you are in a fairy tail. Really atmospheric!

I have driven and walked by this building several times and it is not one that you walk by without noticing. Very unique building for Poltava and just minutes from the classic buildings encircling the round square.

Passed there many times now, right across from the TAU Pan Asian restaurant) This is still an active bank that serves locals even as of today. The bank itself has over 300 years of history, it was first opened after the Battle of Poltava. The outside pattern and the icons of Jesus is very biblical...unique and artsy)

The building will definitely attract your atention - one of the very few art-nouveau buildings in Poltava (another interesting example is Poltava Regional Museum, which used to be a seat of local government in the times of the Russian Empire), decorated so much that it can also be called kitschy. This used to be a bank, but then became a seat of NKVD, regional KGB headquarters and now - SBU.
