Lots of pottery, weapons, jewellery etc. You could also walk around the fort, though having already seen a few forts in the area it wasn't particularly interesting. The thing I enjoyed most that I hadn't seen elsewhere was a collection of photos taken in the area ~30 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then.

This is a very interesting place to visit. Entrance fee is three dirhams for adults. Displays give a live impression of how people lived and worked. Must watch the video commentary and story of coal and the development of Al Ain. A must visit

The staff were very friendly, and readily explained a few things we did not understand and answered our questions with good explanations. Retrospectively, I wish we could have had a proper guided tour of the... More

This museum is very old but very good preserved. Even though there are now many museums in Al Ain, I still prefer this rather quiet museum. It gives a good look into the history. Don't miss the Al Nahyan family tree at the entrance (tip: count the number of sons of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan -... More

Today my husband and I visited the museum and found the whole place fascinating with an excellent history going back 2500 years BC. Unfortunately when it came time to leave we requested a taxi and we were told to walk in a vague direction to find a taxi rank. They had lent us a wheelchair so if was obvious that... More
