We saw an awful lot of museums on our trip to the Emirates and Oman, but none were as well laid out as this one. The displays were informative and creatively done. I wish we had had more time.

The museum is huge with six distinct galleries on both sides of the structure and took me close to 3 hours to go through the entire building (one of the galleries - the Islamic science and technology wing was closed and that was a disappointment)....More

Gorgeous building inside and out, with ample parking (free) outside. The collection is quite nice. Only complaint is that some of the collections was under refurbishment. Too their credit, however, they did have selections from that collection out in the hallway.
