Its and excellent museum for Art Lovers. But even otherwise the area and building are worth a visit as it is Near the heritage area. Just in front of the museum there are some Heritage building and worth the visit. The collection in the museum is good and I think worth a visit.

Me and my Friend travelled here from Dubai by car. It took me about 45 minutes to drive and there was free parking at the back of the building. The entrance was a subtle wooden door and we were let in by a kind elderly guard. The museum is fascinating and we stayed for several hours. One floor has very... More

My son and I had an afternoon to spend in Sharjah. I came across the Sharjah Art Museum as an option and decided to give it a try! I am so pleased I did! Firstly, this museum is free. Score! On our visit, the upstairs had local and Arabian artists. There was lovely artwork in all kinds of medium! Took... More

This art museum was a positive surprise with contemporary art. The building it self is interesting and the exhibitions was a really nice experience. There is s small cafe and a small gift shop. Very friendly staff.

I visited the Sharjah Art Foundation on a Sunday afternoon at the beginning of November so there were not many other visitors but the people working there were very nice and helpful. They explained the different exhibitions in excellent English and gave me free little booklets with further information about the artists and the exhibitions so I could walk around... More

We visited the Kamal Youssef painting exhibition. Truly excellent. A great artist who still produces his inspiring work at the age of 93. It is on until November 17 so hurry and go and see it. Sharjah is outperforming Dubai with a exposition of this level. Entrance is free.

We caught the local bus from Dubai to Sharjah and got a taxi to the Art Museum. What a delight, it is an amazing art gallery and a must see for anyone who is interested in contemporary art. Really you must go!

A number of interesting exhibitions held here annually including the Islamic Arts Festival. Large space, well curated with lovely artworks by well-known artists in the both western and Islamic art and Middle Eastern art scenes.

It's not he first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Sharjah but it's a good reason to go visit this city. The museum is free or very cheap and has modern contemporary Arabic art. It feels good to have such kind of initiatives in this part of the world. Located near the corniche and not far... More
