Combined a trip to Colonia and Montevideo, all booked through Burquebus who were excellent. Interesting guided tour around the old town with a guide who spoke excellent English. Apart from the historic aspects of the Portugese and Spanish era, there are pleny of restaurants.

I recommended to come for a day. Is lovely little town with a lot of style. It wasn’t busy when we visited. Lots of small cafes to choose to eat and have a drink.

The old town offers a good place for some strolls. Pass by the collection of museums. They are not all very interesting, but it is nice to see.

It's so beautiful and pleasent to walk around that you could spend days just doing it. Loose yourself through the streets, cafes and plazas.
