This is the street to change money and it is full of gift shops and restaurants. Prices are a lot more convenient than in the historic downtown.

My memory might be failing but I found the main street boring this time. Few shops and the restaurants all seem to only offer burgers, pizzas and empanadas. The sidewalks are a hazard,

General Flores is the main thoroughfare bisecting the Old City. It is suitable for restaurants but is mainly only a commercial street without any true cultural attractions. You can skip it unless you're looking for dining options.

Most of the streets of old town Colonia have beautiful old buildings some in good condition and some not so good. The foot paths are generally in poor repair but forget the negatives and just enjoy the history and the architecture
