This is the oldest madrasah into the Regiatan complex. The internal courtyard is very nice, it includes one conference hall and a mosque, in addition to the original dormitories of the students. About 45 minutes for a quite accurate visit.

It is very pretty. Guided tour is essential to get historical facts. Entry tickets required. It is close proximity of other important sites.

The Place Registan is majestic with its three madrasahs and the oldest of these three is the madrasah of Ulugh Beg. The entrance to Registan is a little expensive but your visit will be rewarded with beauty of the monuments.

The exterior patterns are breathtaking and take on a different hue when in morning shadow or in evening sun. Just wonderful

This is a must-see, an amazing gem of Timurid architecture. The courtyard is beautifully tiled. I enjoyed visiting the high-end shops. The owner of one of them, on the right side, readily explains how ceramics are done. The central-back building is kind of a museum...More

Ulugbek Madrasah is the most pleasing to the eye of the buildings in the world class Registan Square. The façade is stunning done in small coloured tiles in brilliant patterns, whose symbolism was lost to me, but the beauty of it was enough. It is...More
