This beautiful mausoleum is now completely derelict, home only to a dog suckling its young. There is very little of the original decoration, which can just about be seen around the arches, although one mini-wall has bee renovated but the difference in the paint work...More

25mn by foot from Registan. The Mausoleum has not been renovated. It's interesting to see it but you may not be able to go inside. It looked somehow abandonned. The Mosque on the other side of the road is really nice (Khodja Abd i Daroun).

When we arrived some renovation work was going on already. So hurry up as long this place keeps its unique atmosphere. Nice garden around to relax from a busy day in Samarkand.

The site must be seen, guided tour is required to get the historical background, can get package deal with tour to see sites with free entry tickets.
