By night it was one of the most beautiful experiences I had in Vietnam so far! There are colorful lanterns everywhere and everything looks super pretty. Even though there are a lot if tourists, it’s definitely worth a visit, as soon as it’s getting dark!

Visit at night, it’s rather magical. You will of course get hassled into buying things, but it’s all good fun.

Spent tet here, very nice, but very busy. Town was lit up with lanterns and bars and restaurants were all open late. Fireworks were wonderful. Be aware that many shops and restaurants were closed the following few days, so plan accordingly.

The old town is charming and very crowded. You need to buy a ticket which covers the attractions. We visited the covered Japanese Bridge, a Chinese Temple, the Old Mansion, saw a variety show with music and dancing, visited the silk museum, made our own...More

Hoi An has probably the most charming old quarter in Vietnam. Charming two story buildings with a lot of hidden gems like the various assembly halls and old merchant’s houses, it comes even more to life at night with gorgeous lighting from thousands of lanterns...More
