- Olivier F2 contributionsIt's one of the most iconic landmarks in Da Nang, and it's easy to see why.I entered the church and was immediately struck by its peace and tranquility. The interior is simple but elegant, with high ceilings and stained-glass windows. I spent a few minutes wandering around, admiring the architecture and taking in the atmosphere. I'm not a religious person, but I found the Da Nang Cathedral to be a truly special place. It's a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the midst of a bustling city. I'm glad I took the time to visit it, and I would highly recommend itVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 September 2023
- Martin SSidcup, United Kingdom675 contributionsThe pink church in the city.Unfortunately the Cathedral was shut which it appears to be most of the time outside of mass hours, which are very early. Nice Grotto to the rear with a flowing Holy Water font. Nothing written in English which is a bit of a shame.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 October 2023

- Wonder A421 contributionsThe Candy Pink Cathedral Of DanangConstructed by Louis Vallet, a priest who sketched the overall building on the land around the present Tran Phu Street, Danang Cathedral is about 70-metre high and is the only church built in Danang by the French colonialists. Visitors are attracted to the lovely candy-pink hue of the cathedral which was constructed in a Gothic style. The grotto of Our Lady is behind the church and its decoration is an adaptation of the grotto in Lourdes, France.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 April 2024
- LolaGo1Washington DC, District of Columbia6,633 contributionsGlad that it was open during my visitWanting to attend mass on a Sunday, I briefly walked from my hotel to this cathedral. It was open, but no mass was being celebrating. Instead, the priest was noted baptizing babies. After the ceremony, I walked around this church, taking photos of the altar and some glass stained windows. Said my prayers before going out. Outside, there is a small grotto with the statue of Mary. On the right side (near the entrance) is another statue and colorful papers hanging at the tree branches. Took more pictures of the front views of the cathedral before leaving.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 7 April 2024
- LFLIHong Kong, China542 contributionsJust a catheral pink in colour but not accessible by visitorsIt is a catheral pink in colour and fully functional, in which it is frequently used for activities and not accessible by visitors. We could only see its external and took pictures. When there are on-going activities, visitors are not even allowed to get close and stopped by guard far away. Because of this, it is not an interesting place to visit.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 May 2024

Sunday English mass is at 10:00am. We visited on 26th Jan 2020. This pink Cathedral has attracted lots of visitors. It is a must for Catholic visiting Da Nang.
There are lots of restaurants nearby. It is recommended to walk to the Dragon Bridge which lots of people take pictures there.

Crowded with buses of tourists from around the world, no place to park your car. Our driver dropped us and went somewhere to wait for us. When we were done with photographing, we called our driver to come pick us. We were not allowed to enter the cathedral, only snapping photos outside the pink cathedral. Nice and newly painted I guess, well kept.

It is a Christian Church so it is blocked off to the public.
All the gates are closed and tourists are not allowed to even walk around the church.
You can see it through the fence, one side of it anyway.
Reminds me of the church locking out the poor or people in danger when things go bad.

Can’t say much about the cathedral as the church is not opened when we visited. However, the exterior structure and the striking pink Color of the cathedral makes it insta worthy. Since it is located along the old shop building, it stands out beautifully.

Advertised opening times are meaningless. We arrived at 15:30 and sign at entrance to compound said open 1330 to 1630, but all doors locked and “official” said we could not go in. So NOT open 0700 to 1700 and not even as advertised in church website (1330 to 1630). Very pretty outside, but …….
