Livingstone Island is perched on the edge of the Victoria Falls in the very midst of this thundering mass of water. Your visit begins with a thrilling ride through the channels of the Zambezi. Thereafter, you will be taken on a guided exploration of the island, a protected World Heritage Site. If you're feeling brave, you can even take a heart-stopping peek over the island's edge to the churning mass below in the famous Devil's Pool. (no experience necessary/ no age limit)

What a fantastic experience. Note - it is only accessible during the dry season. This means the falls are less spectacular, but well worth it just for this experience. It is scary, but when you've done it, you realise how safe it is, because of the lack of any force trying to take you over the edge in the pool... More

Breathtaking from the second you arrive. The hotel is beautiful and the island is right on the falls for an up-close view. There was a little about the history but mostly we were herded to different spots where the guides took photos (or blurred videos as they got the button wrong on my camera!). Not enough time to enjoy the... More

What an experience! The guides were great, and of course the dip in Devil's Pool was the highlight. I highly recommend water shoes, or closed sandals, as the walk through the river to Devil's Pool can be tough on your feet. The breakfast was delicious, albeit a bit rushed to get you out as I believe the groups cycle through... More

This was an incredible way to view Victoria Falls. The quick boat ride from The Royal Livingstone was easy, the view of the falls once you get to the island was incredible and then the swim to Devils Pool was unbelievable! If you are going to swim to Devil's Pool, I would recommend wearing water shoes or sandals of some... More

We visited for lunch which was amazing. We went by boat which was great. We had amazing views and photo opportunities of the falls before swimming out to the Devil's pool. Amazing experience and great time to visit as you are unable to swim here if the water is too high. Lunch was fantastic and a great time to visit... More

You take a boat ride from the Royal Livingstone Hotel (only a few minutes) and then you're on the island in the middle of the falls. We were there right before swimming was allowed in the Devil's Pool, so we were only allowed to walk to the edge or take a dunk in one of the other pools (not as... More

As long as you aren't scared of heights, this will be one of the most exhilirating things you could ever do. We visited in July, and the Devils' pool was closed, but Angels' was open. Walking along the very edge of Victoria Falls was an experience like no other, before we even got into the pool itself. The views and... More

I have not stayed in this Lodge but i would like to write about their activity of visiting the Livingstone Island and swimming in Angel's or Devil's Pool! It feels more than amazing to swim in the edge of Victoria Falls. The feeling is incredible!!! The thing is that if you want to visit the Devil's pool, you have to... More

WOW, what an adventure! From Royal Livingstone resort, you take a 3-5 minute boat ride to Livingstone Island. Upon arriving at the island, we were greeted by Alpha Omega, our guide for the walking and swimming along the edge of Victoria Falls. Oh my! Alpha Omega takes you literally step by step safely to the edge of the falls to... More
